What is worth choosing
For Pennsylvania residents, choosing a contractor to handle foundation and basement water issues is a decision about protecting one of your largest assets. Dr. Dry stands out as a clear choice for several compelling reasons rooted in their local knowledge and proven track record. Their decades of specialized experience in Pittsburgh—a city known for its older homes, varied terrain, and significant rainfall—means they are not just contractors; they are local water damage experts who understand the unique hydrostatic and soil challenges specific to this region.
The family-owned nature of the business ensures a level of accountability and personal attention often missing with larger, national chains. Customers repeatedly highlight the owner's proficiency, professionalism, and, most importantly, honesty. The fact that an expert will thoroughly examine your home and advise against costly repairs if they aren't necessary—as a real customer review confirms—speaks volumes about their integrity and ethical approach to sales. They aim to solve the problem with the best, most affordable, and most honest course of action, not simply to maximize a sale.
Furthermore, the combination of an A+ BBB rating, multiple local awards, and a fully transferable lifetime warranty on their waterproofing systems provides an unmatched level of security and confidence for the homeowner. A transferable warranty significantly enhances the resale value of your home, effectively turning a necessary repair into a value-added feature for future buyers. By choosing Dr. Dry, you are securing a permanent, warranted solution delivered by a reputable, award-winning, and locally focused professional who prioritizes structural integrity and customer peace of mind above all else. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1A huge thank you to Dr Dry waterproofing for an amazing job!! I was getting tons of water in my basement and the current internal drain wasn’t installed properly. Chris was proficient, professional, and provided an amazing estimate. Him and his crew were prompt, considerate, and worked hard to complete the job quickly and efficiently.I couldn’t be more happy and I can’t thank them enough for everything!
May 05, 2024 · Lauren ColemanChris thoroughly examined the basement of the house we bought last month. He explained his analysis of the house (built in 1953 in Greenfield) and told me he does not think it requires any foundation work, nor any work to waterproof the basement. Chris literally did not sell me his services. (I did get another opinion from another contractor, who agreed with Chris.) I wish I could do something more than simply write a review about his expertise and honesty, but this will have to do until I meet someone who needs his services and I can refer them to him.
Jan 17, 2024 · Jacque RowdenWorked with Chris from Dr. Dry for my commercial property. Had some water in utility room that they helped evaluate. Promptly came out to inspect the area. Provided a clear quote. Even checked out some gutter and drain issues. Followed up with everything to make sure it all looked good. The front desk staff is amazing too! I'd contact them for all my residential and commercial waterproofing in Pittsburgh.
Nov 14, 2022 · Frank UdavcakI had scheduled an appointment. On day of appointment, 45 minutes beforehand I get a text to confirm. Half an hour before appointment I get a phone message to confirm. Both times I was on the road driving home for scheduled appointment and could not respond. I got home 15 minutes before appointment and confirmed by text and returned phone call of technician, Chris. Chris was snippy and seemed to think sending me a request for confirmation only on day of appointment and only within 45 minutes was satisfactory and my not responding right away had him snippily ask if i was still interested because now because i didn't respond 45 minutes before appt he can't be there til 1.5 hours later than scheduled appt. What the hell?In my experience confirmations are NEVER last minute. They could easily have confirmed yesterday. Since I am on time for appointment, they want to find a cop-out excuse to be late? No, thanks. Poor attitude, late confirmation request, and no on-time appointment trying to blame me, the client? Hell no.Plenty other businesses.Oh, and, to boot, Chris I found out, is the owner. Nice...
May 01, 2024 · Brenda WalshLiving in South Hills we have a lot of older homes like mine. When I noticed water leaking into my basement I wanted to get it taken care of immediately. I called Dr. Dry and Chris and his team came to service my basement very quickly. The free job quote feature on the website also helped speed up the process.
