• Terrible work. What was a 3 week job ended up with us out of our house for 3 months. This is less than a year after their work. The planks are set on uneven surfaces that they did not level, so now there is buckling, cracking, pieces that are coming up, huge gaps.Edit: Their corporate office has responded to this post saying they would not fix this work because I owe a significant balance and blamed the poor work on foundational issues. The nail coming through the planks is obviously not foundational. The separation between the wall and floor has been that way since the work was complete, you can literally feel air coming in from outside if you put your foot there. To address the balance - at most, I withheld less than $5k for poor work. Y'all have received more than $30k. Even if I paid the $5k, this is still the work I'm left with that I'll probably have to come out of pocket to fix. Y'all are now saying I owe you upwards of $12k for legal fees, late fees etc. You have not once offered a payment plan, no one has called me, you immediately sent me letters saying you're putting a lien on my home and sending me to collections! I understand y'all are a company/corporate office and y'all are going to say whatever keeps the pressure off of you. But from person to person, this is not work you'd want in your own home, and y'all know it.

• I had a water leak and subsequent damage in my home that was covered by my home owners insurance. SRT was the insurance preferred vendor that I chose. Since it was an insurance claim and the insurance company's preferred vendor I assumed that all work would be performed by licensed and certified tradesmen however SRT is using unlicensed tradesmen/handymen. After a host of issues and 5 months later, the work that was completed was substandard and ended with my having to have SRT return to my property to honor their warranty as there was still a leak. By this point I knew to specifically request for licensed plumbers and I also requested that they confirm that the person who had done the previous work was also a licensed plumber. The licensed plumber who corrected the work noted substandard technique and material throughout. SRT has yet to respond to my request for the credentials of the person who performed both the original plumbing and electrical work on the project. Details: My Project Manager and another PM came to my home to "inspect" on August 23rd. As the project began to delay from one excuse to another I asked for a project plan with you do/we do benchmarks several times. I got nothing. I stopped several times to have workmanship addressed while in progress I realized they couldn't do better work so I stopped asking for redos. SRT admits in their own response to my BBB complaint that there were delays and that they were on the SRT side. There are a few issues that go back to the "inspection" to include SRT missing that the subfloor was too weak and needed to be replaced. There was also the fact that a pipe needed to be replaced because of a broken screw. SRT did not break the screw however they did miss it on "inspection" so had completely closed up the wall and had started painting before they found they couldn't install the shower head. Subsequently, SRT wanted me to pay for the rework needed to get back to the pipe. The invoice template is horrible which I constantly brought up with Terra. There is no breakdown of who paid what of the total amount, what is out of pocket versus what is covered by the claim, no clear statement "Submit payments to" etc. and the charges were ALWAYS changing. On Feb 19th and many invoices later we all (SRT, Liberty Mutual and I) agreed to an amount. I immediately (same day) addressed Terra regarding payment and the need to spread a few payments out. She quickly demanded payment in full. Brent Parker, Office Manager had contacted us while we were on vacation. We returned has call to further discuss arrangements to include seeking clarity on an acceptable payment submission method as that is not clear on the invoice. Brent, who we had NEVER heard of or from until this point, admitted that he was unaware of all of the challenges, complaints and requests to have our issues raised to the business office. Brent, agreed to have his finance office draft a payment arrangement proposal. Brent's email response reads, "We can offer a payment plan for you to pay the balance owed to SRT but there are a couple of conditions that need your agreement and/or action before we proceed. Submit the COS we discussed on the phone. Remove the negative review from the BBB website immediately. Once these items are complete we will proceed with developing a payment plan for you." Mar 13th I received a certified letter notifying me that SRT had filed a contractors lien against my property. The filing was Mar 10th, the day after we first spoke to Brent on the phone. The rework that was needed was discovered in April after I had made 2 payments. I have also filed a complaint with the Consumer Protection Agency and Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners. • My husband and I were extremely nervous to start repairs on our home after damage from the winter storm. However, Daniel Barns has been incredibly caring and dependable throughout our extensive repairs and communicating with our insurance. After being shuffled through several Project Managers our home was finally assigned to, Mike Lowe who quickly got up to speed on our repairs and got the renovation back on track. When my husband and I could not decide on flooring Mike Lowe patiently helped us through the process and provided excellent suggestions. These two gentlemen truly changed my outlook on this experience and I cannot sing their praises enough.

• After a house fire, our insurance company set us up with SRT for the smoke/water mitigation. We did not use them for the repairs, only the mitigation piece. They descended quickly and with a big group of people. They worked diligently and professionally until every square inch of surface was cleaned. Subcontractors they used for various pieces were hard working and respectful. They helped problem solve situations that were unknowns. We got a bid for part of the rebuild work and it was completely outside of the scope and cost of what our insurance company would work with. However, for the smoke mitigation piece we’re were completely satisfied with both SRT and the subs they used.

• ZERO STARS - Horrible customer service and communication. They work fast and don't pay attention to detail and paint over water leak stains instead of replacing the sheetrock. We provided leftover paint and they painted a closet two different colors and didn't move a few empty boxes on a shelf to the side to paint behind them, but instead painted around them. They also rinsed their paint brushes in the bathroom sink and left paint in the sink. Seriously? We have been through three project managers in two months. I've made numerous phone calls to managers to get answers about the lying, lack of communication, no shows, etc. and was told I'd receive a phone call and never did. It's practically impossible to get ahold of anyone and get answers. They don't pay attention to detail, especially when reading e-mails. I specifically told them not to enter my home because my dog would be home and we would need to schedule a time for when I could be home. They entered anyway and thank goodness no one was hurt by the dog. This could have been a horrible situation if the dog tried to bite an intruder. All work is subcontracted out, and thankfully we are working with a great flooring guy for most of our project, but everything else has been nothing but a stressful nightmare while we wait 3+ months living in one bedroom for the other bedrooms to be fixed. I would not recommend them.
