Restoraid Introduce
Introduction / Overview
When residents in the Cincinnati, Ohio area are looking to transform their homes, whether through an exciting kitchen update or in the aftermath of a devastating fire or flood, they often seek a comprehensive and trustworthy partner. Restoraid positions itself as a dual-focus home services company, expertly blending the urgent requirements of a Fire damage restoration service and Water damage restoration service with the detailed craftsmanship of a Kitchen remodeler and Bathroom remodeler.
This Cincinnati-based business is more than just a repair crew; it's also recognized as a Cabinet store, giving it a distinct advantage in remodeling projects by having direct access to and expertise in one of the most crucial elements of any modern kitchen or bath redesign. The company’s philosophy appears to center on providing a single point of contact for complex home improvements and disaster recovery efforts, offering everything from immediate mitigation services to final structural and aesthetic restoration. They manage the entire project life cycle, which, when executed well, can save Ohio homeowners significant time and stress by avoiding the need to coordinate between separate restoration experts, general contractors, and design specialists.
Location and Accessibility
Restoraid is centrally located in Cincinnati, OH, allowing them to efficiently serve the entire metro area, including Hamilton County and beyond. This accessibility is especially critical for their core business of disaster recovery, where fast response times are essential to mitigating water and fire damage and preventing secondary issues like mold growth.
The company is situated at a convenient address for clients needing to visit the office to discuss remodeling plans, select cabinetry, or review project documents:
1210 Hillsmith Dr, Cincinnati, OH 45215, USA
In line with providing professional service to all local homeowners, Restoraid’s premises offers practical accessibility features:
- Wheelchair accessible parking lot
This attention to local access ensures that all Cincinnati customers, regardless of mobility needs, can comfortably interact with their team during the planning and consultation phases of both restoration and remodeling projects.
Services Offered
Restoraid offers a comprehensive suite of services that cover two distinct but interconnected segments of home improvement: emergency damage control and planned aesthetic remodeling.
- Disaster Restoration and Recovery: Immediate and structural response to major home emergencies, listed specifically as a Fire damage restoration service and Water damage restoration service.
- Kitchen Remodeling: Full-service kitchen renovations, utilizing their expertise as a Cabinet store to assist with design, material selection, and installation of cabinetry, countertops, and fixtures.
- Bathroom Remodeling: Comprehensive bathroom overhauls, including fixture installation, tile work, and custom shower construction.
- Cabinet Supply and Installation: As a dedicated Cabinet store, they offer both sales and installation services for new cabinetry, integral to their remodeling projects.
- Structural Restoration: Specialized in returning a home to its pre-loss condition after damage, handling the complex tasks of rebuilding and reinforcing the structure.
- General Remodeling Projects: Taking on a variety of broader Remodeling Services and Home Services beyond just kitchens and bathrooms, with the goal of increasing home functionality and resale value.
- Project Management: Overseeing all aspects of a project from design and material selection to the final walkthrough, often involving frequent check-ins by company leadership.
Features / Highlights
Restoraid’s key features are derived from its ability to offer integrated services—merging the design-centric world of remodeling with the critical urgency of disaster recovery.
- Dual-Expertise Model: The most powerful feature is the blending of Cabinet store and high-level Remodeler capabilities with Disaster Recovery expertise. This means a homeowner whose kitchen was damaged by a pipe burst can hire one company to dry out the structure and then rebuild the entire kitchen, including the custom cabinets.
- Commitment to Quality Over Speed (as noted by positive reviews): One highly satisfied customer specifically highlighted the company’s dedication to quality, noting that when unexpected measurement issues arose due to a house having "personality," the team did not rush the job. They prioritized the best finished product, even if it meant losing several days, which speaks to a focus on long-term satisfaction and craftsmanship.
- Involved Ownership and Expert Staff: The personal involvement of owner Keith Desserich, who frequently checks in on projects, and the high skill level of lead craftsmen like Ken are major highlights. The trust built with customers is significant, described as being safe enough to "leave-for-vacation-and-ask-them-to-lock-up-when-their-done."
- Design and Value Focus: The company provides valuable expert advice on material selection and design choices that specifically balance the homeowner's lifestyle needs with the desire to add to the home’s resale value, ensuring clients receive good value for their investment.

What is Worth Choosing
For the Cincinnati, Ohio homeowner, what is worth choosing about Restoraid is the potential for a seamless, high-quality, full-service renovation experience, particularly for kitchen and bath projects. The integration of a Cabinet store with an experienced Kitchen remodeler and hands-on ownership offers a level of coordination and expertise in design, material selection, and installation that is hard to find in separate contractors. Customers have highly praised the final quality of their finished kitchens, the deep knowledge of the owner, and the trustworthiness of the on-site crew, making them a very appealing choice for complex, high-value remodeling.
However, local users are urged to proceed with extreme caution and due diligence. The negative customer reviews provide crucial information about severe project management issues (e.g., delays due to prioritizing insurance claims), extremely poor or incorrect trade work (e.g., using drywall mud for tile board, incorrect plumbing and electrical), and business practices that resulted in significant financial loss for the client (unreturned deposit and refusal to provide insurance information).
Therefore, while the high-quality finished products and personal touch are a strong incentive, any Ohio resident considering Restoraid should independently verify their current licensing with Hamilton County or the relevant jurisdiction for all specialized trades (plumbing, electrical), insist on being listed as an additional insured party on the company’s policy, and obtain detailed, itemized contracts that clearly outline payment milestones and recourse for project failure. The value is there, but the risks require a rigorous and cautious approach from the consumer’s side to safeguard their home and investment.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We hired Restoraid to do a full bathroom remodel, which has been one of the biggest mistakes I have ever made. Even from the start of the project, we kept getting pushed back weeks because “insurance claims” take priority. Please use extreme caution if you have this company do anything on your home. They are not licensed to do any plumbing or electrical work in Hamilton county (they will tell you they are, but call the county, they are not as of January 2025). Also, make them list you as additional insured in case they damage your home. This will make filing an insurance claim with their insurance much easier. Long story short, they caused $8,000.00 in damage to our home because of a plumbing leak. Mistakes happen, we are understanding people, but then they refused to provide us with their insurance information, making filing a claim a nightmare. We ended up firing this company after I discovered they started doing tile work with drywall mud. Yes, you heard that correctly, they hung all the concrete board in our brand new walk in shower and taped it with drywall mud! Thank god we hired professionals to come in and finish the project because we discovered not only was the start of the tile work incorrect, all of the electrical work and plumbing work they did was done incorrectly. We ended up removing everything and starting over. So not only did they do eight thousand dollars in damages, the seven thousand dollar deposit we gave them is a loss as well. Hiring Restoraid to do this work ended up costing us an additional ($15,000.00). I would strongly encourage you to look somewhere else for a competent contractor.
Apr 04, 2025 · Tyler HughesThe finished kitchen says more about why Restoraid receives a 5-star review from me than anything I can write. However, I'll still share a few key points.--- People ---We've had many different contractors in our house over the years. The range of contractors I've had work at my house over the years goes from staying-in-the-room-worried to Restoraid on the far positive side, leave-for-vacation-and-ask-them-to-lock-up-when-their-done, safe. Ken who was the lead craftsman on the kitchen is a great guy. My 2 year old would wake up each morning wanting to say hi to Mr Ken.Keith Desserich the company owner somehow managed to stop by rather frequently to check in on the project. I was able to trust Keith to steer us towards great decisions in our kitchen, balancing both our lifestyle with the desire to add to the resale value of our house. A true expert and wealth of knowledge and remodeling experience.--- Quality ---The finished product is great. However, what I'd really like to note on quality is the fact that corners weren't cut. When our house having "personality" caused measurements to be inaccurate Ken and Keith did not settle for the easy road. They managed to do what they thought would get us the best finished product. It was nice to know that even when several days were lost, quality was more important than just completing. Something I very much appreciated.--- Price ---I prefer to think of it as value. We got good value for our money. You can do kitchen remodels cheaper, but I don't believe for a second the value would be as good as my experience with Restoraid. The advice in what materials to use for resale value and what cabinets to include in the space was extremely valuable. The invoice is for materials and labor. Not shown is the expertise which does not appear on the invoice.--- Summary ---The most important part of any business transaction.... Yes, we will use them again. Yes, we have and will refer friends and family to them. Thanks Keith, Ken and all the many others who helped along the way. Thank you Restoraid.
Jul 26, 2017 · Drew WashInsurance hired Reatoraid for both my basement dry out after a flood, and the restoration work. We added on some extra services in another room (drywall, carpet). The whole project (2 rooms) was projected to be done in 2-3 weeks; we’re in week 4 and no progress has been made in two weeks. Our main contractor is out sick, and instead of sending someone else to finish the carpet and baseboards (the only thing left in the one room; other room is also awaiting flooring), they just keep stalling us. Most days, it’s a no call, no show from them and we’re just left waiting to see if they are coming that day or not. They also miscut several drywall holes for the light switches/outlets (apparently they don’t have the right tools for this), and haven’t fixed them properly.Overall, the workers are friendly and we were happy with their work at first. But there is little to no communication on if/when they are coming, and they have no staff to step in when a contractor is out for 2+ weeks. Very frustrating and hard to plan around. This has disrupted our schedule multiple times.
Feb 12, 2025 · Robyn StormRestoraid was assigned to our project via homeowners insurance after we had a sewage backup in the basement. While they did a good job cleaning, the payment process has been a disaster. Homeowners insurance told us not to pay them because it would be handled by insurance directly. They insisted on being paid and said they would refund us when they got the check from insurance. They got the check from insurance 2 weeks ago and they still have not refunded us. I’ve called almost daily to try and make progress on this but I keep getting the run around of “we are looking into it” or “we will refund you when the check clears our account”- I spoke to my home owners insurance and the check cleared their account over a week ago. The terrible handling of our money is unacceptable and very disappointing.
Dec 14, 2024 · Kelsey RhinelanderWe were so lucky to get Restoraid when a pipe broke in our house and water was everywhere. Donna Coyler and her team came in and took everything that was damaged out- carpets, walls ceilings., and got rid of all the standing water.I was freaking out and Donna was so reassuring, calm, professional and kind. Her calm positive leadership showed in how smoothly her team worked together. The team did great work and were also reassuring that our house could be fixed. We had trouble with our insurance company and she worked with them to show her estimate was correct. She was wonderful! Donna made sure everything that they restored was beautiful with great attention to detail! I can’t say enough abouthow awesome Donna was. Her team worked hard until the completion of the project. I told all my neighbors about Restoraid. They know who to call if they need help.A big thank you to Donna and her whole team.!!!Nancy Bauerband
