Jun 04, 2025 · Rosemarie BorregoWhile I am disappointed and frustrated by the service I have received from Deep Water, I will keep my emotions out of this review. The point of this review is not to vent, but to do two things: 1.) Hopefully give caution to future customers who may choose to use this company, and 2.) Help Deep Water see where they have failed and can hopefully improve to better serve their customers.Let me start by saying Deep Water has been working on my house for three months, when I was originally told it would take two weeks to complete the work. During that time I've been told the water/mold mitigation work had been completed on four different occasions when the work had clearly not been completed. The pictures attached are what the house looked like after the second time Deep Water said the work was completed. Some carpet had still not been pulled up. Tack strips which hold mold when wet had not been taken out of the floor. Nails, dust, and debris (which includes mold) were not cleaned up. The house has also failed two separate mold tests after the third and fourth times Deep Water said the work had been completed.Deep Water started working on water and mold mitigation in mid June after my rental suffered severe water damage from a busted reverse osmosis filter. I was originally told by the technician that they would have the work completed in about two weeks. I never heard from them during this timeframe, so I finally called them after 16 days. The lady on the phone said they ran into staffing issues so no one was able to come out to my house for the past 10 days and they could try and get someone out there the following day. I asked why I had not been notified that no one was working on my house while mold was possibly continuing to grow. She didn't have an answer. This same issue occurred again and again where I was told workers would go out to my rental to work. After several days, I would call and get told the same answer, that technicians for one reason or another could not make it out to my house. In the meantime, mold continued to grow in my house.I finally had the house tested for mold after the third time I was told the mitigation work was completed. The house failed the mold test by registering high levels of mold all over the house. Deep Water came back and treated the floor and got rid of most of the dust and debris and I was told the work was completed a fourth time. I then had a second mold test completed and the house still registered high levels of mold on the upper floor.I was also told on four different occasions after the house failed the first mold test that the GM would call me, which he never did. Time and time again this company has made promises that it has failed to keep. Now, three months and two failed mold tests later I still have a house that is not fully treated. Please do your research on this company before having them do work on your house. There has been zero communication initiated by Deep Water. You will always have to call them. It's difficult to speak to anyone except the receptionist. You will have a very hard time getting them to complete the work they are paid to complete.I'll wrap up by saying this.. when your house goes through significant damage, it can be a confusing, scary, and stressful time because you're trying to navigate and learn what needs to be done. I'm not a mold/mitigation expert. That's why I hired Deep Water to do this work. Through nonexistent initiated communication from the business, lack of follow up, and failure to produce quality work, this process has been extremely stressful and discouraging. I feel I have been more than patient to allow this company three months to complete work that they still have not completed. I beg future customers, if you choose to use this company please exercise extreme caution. I don't want you to have to go through what I have gone through during this difficult time of life.
