★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1How would I describe my experience with Blue Ridge & Construction? In a word, exceptional. After abortive attempts to find a contractor for the renovation of my primary bathroom, I took a chance with this company. Ben, the project developer, came to my house the next business day to assess the project. He was pleasant and informative, and came up with some great ideas to complement my own wishes. I received the quote just a few days later. The agreed-upon budget was in the ballpark of my own rough estimate. The renovation moved along pretty seamlessly, thanks to the sterling efforts of Jeff, the project manager. I really can’t say enough good things about him. He was always responsive and came to the house regularly to check on progress and offer suggestions. Like all the other Blue Ridge team members, and subcontractors, Jeff was friendly, courteous, and utterly professional. The job was completed with care and diligent attention to detail. A particular shoutout to the tilers, who can only be described as craftsmen. All of my friends who have seen the renovated bathroom have been blown away by the quality of the tile work. All in all, this was a wonderful experience, and I’m absolutely thrilled with the end result. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company to anyone looking for home renovations.
Jul 20, 2025 · Nick HartWe recently had a garage built by Blue Ridge and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. From start to finish, the service we received was outstanding. The project manager, Jeff was professional, attentive, and always kept us in the loop. Every question was answered promptly, and the whole process felt smooth and well-organized thanks to their excellent coordination. The employees were all friendly, respectful, and they were cognizant of our dogs by doing things like always closing gates behind them and putting up temporary barriers when our fence was down due to the garage build and fence work.A special shoutout to the carpenter, Nate, whose craftsmanship truly stood out. The attention to detail and quality of work exceeded our expectations. It’s clear they all take pride in what they do, and the final result reflects that.Highly recommend this team if you're looking for reliability, skill, and great customer service. I can't speak for their other project managers, but if you can get Jeff, he is awesome. We’re thrilled with our new garage!
Apr 23, 2025 · Robin ZWe contracted Blue Ridge Restoration & Construction to tear down our existing porch and build a new screened in porch with adjacent deck with composite. We planned the project for 2 years and had prices from several large and small local businesses to complete the project. Blue Ridge Restoration & Construction was fairly priced for a large project. Our project manager left right before the start of the job, but the new project manager Ed was very responsive and went over every detail of the project to ensure things went smoothly. We were in constant communication throughout the project. There were expected bumps (with any project), but they said they wanted to make things right and did.Their employees and subcontractors were respectful of our property and cleaned up after themselves. The entire project (from demolition to final walk through) took 7 weeks with inclement weather delaying completion by 1-2 weeks. We were overall very satisfied with their work and would recommend them to others.
Feb 27, 2024 · Jonathan BarrettWe began this project to build a full bath in our basement and install an egress window in April 2023 and it ended in January 2024. The contract stated it would take 45 business days, and they voiced they did "drop the ball" indicating it was things within their control they were complacent on. They pitched they utilized a calendar/scheduling system, that was only up to date maybe 7 days out of the 9 months total. We experienced many issues including lack of communication/no communication, frequent no shows, work done incorrectly and them having to come back daily to fix things, and poor customer service (always apologizing, never changing). They finished the project without all inspections/permit done, and had to tear stuff down to have inspections completed. We engaged them three different times to discuss resolutions, and there was never a change in their delivery of service. They informed us multiple times of staff being fired, and even transferred us to a different project manager. They continued to remind us "this is not how we do business" or "what our customers experience", but never changed. I've attached some pictures on how they would leave our space, as well as when they had to tear down their work to complete inspections properly. The picture of the dirt is the back of our house that was left like this for 3 months, risking water damage. We don't believe they are a professional business and we wouldn't recommend them.
Feb 15, 2024 · Tristan LaBelleWe went under contract with Blue Ridge in the summer of 2023 to undergo a variety of renovations in our home. We broke ground mid August and were told it would be done by Halloween. I was very surprised with this timeline and internally adjusted that end date to Christmas. Ultimately, they finished our project just before Christmas a year later. The work they did was good, and I encountered some very friendly employees along the way. However, we had 4 different project managers throughout our contract, 3 of whom left the company to pursue work elsewhere. For the first 10 months we had work being done maybe 1 week each month. With very little communication. I believe the business underwent some situations beyond their control during this time, but one thing they could control (IMHO) was not taking on additional new contracts while going very slowly on existing contracts. The delay in timeline was never really addressed on their end. We stayed with them instead of breaking contract because we didn't want the headache of starting over with someone mid project. However, I would not recommend this company to a friend.
