GCRC emphasizes a full-service approach to property damage restoration, meaning they not only perform the initial emergency cleanup and mitigation but also handle the entire reconstruction process. Their goal is to quickly remedy the effects of various catastrophes and minimize disruption to their clients' lives. By focusing on restoration and construction, GCRC aims to provide a single point of contact for homeowners and businesses recovering from an unexpected event, simplifying the otherwise complex recovery process that often involves multiple specialty contractors.

What is Worth Choosing
When selecting a general contractor in Florida for critical property restoration work, local users must prioritize reliability, quality control, and timely completion. Gulf Coast Restoration and Construction presents a wide scope of services, particularly their ability to merge mitigation (water/mold/fire cleanup) with construction (the rebuild), which is inherently valuable as it avoids the complication of coordinating between separate companies.
However, potential clients are strongly advised to conduct thorough due diligence, including an in-depth review of the company's performance history and customer feedback. The company promotes comprehensive services, including a full remediation process for fire and water damage. In the face of property disaster, choosing a contractor requires careful consideration of their capacity to deliver the promised quality of work, adhere to project timelines, and maintain professional conduct throughout the restoration, especially regarding base molding quality, painting, and overall job completion. Securing a clear, detailed contract outlining all materials, timelines, and payment milestones, and ensuring all work is completed to satisfaction before submitting final payment, is highly recommended to protect a homeowner’s interest.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I hired GCRC to restore my house after a water leak. The quality of their work was very low. After they estimated and started the job they told me that they could not get base molding to match my existing molding for six weeks, all but forcing me to use a cheap grade. Then they cut the baseboard trim so sloppy the some of the gaps were 1/4" or more. When I asked them to fix it they just caulked them. Now the caulk has shrunk and they look terrible. Painting was done so poorly that I told them to stop because the rooms looked better BEFORE they painted them. I made the mistake of paying them before the tile and grout work was complete and after that I never saw them again. Fortunately the insurance company let me finish the work with somebody else.
Jun 18, 2019 · Bud HerreThey took over six months and still did not complete the job yet want to be paid in full and told me to hire somebody else to finish it. They also brought the wrong cabinets 3X, cut water lines before they turn the water off, “Accidentally” turned on the outside solar system without opening of the valves, they ran over the sprinkler heads and broke those outside, cut their drywall on top of my couches they placed in the garage. The owner pretty much said he doesn’t care, just don’t forget to send your final payment.
Sep 01, 2018 · CIf you have a home owners insurance claim and are looking for a company to walk you through the approval & construction process step by step w/ patience and empathy in a timely matter, Gulf Coast Restoration is NOT the place. In our experience they were everything but this. Unclear communication created anxiety about the process as well as a lack of professionalism/compassion to move things forward in a timely matter. 3 mo after ripping up our floor we were advised by Gulf Coast that they did not have a cabinet supplier that could meet our needs and therefore they were backing out of the project. When questioned about this decision and other options the project manager acted agitated and rude... making comments like “I don’t have time to discuss this any further...”. A follow up call to one of Gulf Coast’s partners was no better... “We just don’t think we’re a good fit for this project... I have advised your insurance company to just cut you a check.” WHAT? How does this help someone who found themselves in an unplanned kitchen project due to water damage 3 mo after the fact? These guys are in the wrong business and as a result have one less insurance company referring clients to them. It’s no wonder they aren’t on social media.
