Their wide range of services, including everything from specialized sewage cleanup and mold mitigation to intricate mechanical and electrical systems repair, indicates an effort to be a single-source solution for local property owners facing overwhelming restoration projects. However, potential clients should approach any major construction project with thorough due diligence and attention to recent public feedback regarding project management and quality control.

Features / Highlights
The primary advertised features of a disaster restoration and general contracting company revolve around reliability, speed, and quality. National Fire & Water Repair promotes its 24 Hour Emergency Services and ability to handle complex insurance restoration projects. However, a review of recent customer experiences highlights significant concerns regarding the delivery of these features, which warrants careful consideration by potential Ohio clients.
- Advertised Feature: Insurance Claims Assistance. While the company engages in insurance restoration, customer accounts describe disputes and financial issues, including allegations of running over budget and attempting to renege on repairs included in the approved contract.
- Advertised Feature: Complete Restoration and Remodeling. Customer feedback details major quality failures, such as installing a roof that was still burned from the fire and later needed redoing, and neglecting critical safety and water mitigation features, specifically failing to replace gutters, which resulted in subsequent basement flooding.
- Advertised Feature: 24 Hour Emergency Services / Immediate Assistance. The commitment to emergency response is critical. However, customer reports detail significant issues with project timeline management, with completion delays of six months past the promised deadline, and communication breakdowns, including a lack of necessary worker supervision and communication.
- General Contractor Oversight: A fundamental expectation of a general contractor is professional oversight. Customer accounts raise severe concerns about the supervision of workers, including reported instances of workers smoking marijuana on the job, directly impacting site professionalism and project integrity.

For general inquiries or to seek immediate assistance for fire or water damage, the company can be contacted using the following information:

What is worth choosing
When selecting a general contractor in Ohio, particularly one specializing in high-stakes disaster restoration, what is worth choosing is not just the advertised scope of services but the demonstrated reliability of execution, communication, and adherence to project timelines. National Fire & Water Repair offers a comprehensive list of services, from specialized cleanup (sewage, mold) to technical repairs (plumbing, electrical), positioning them as a potentially convenient, single provider.
However, the documented experiences from local customers are a critical factor in the decision-making process. Accounts detailing over a year of delays, significant quality control issues—such as a non-functional roof or lack of gutters leading to new basement damage—and poor communication signal a serious gap between the company's service promises and their delivery. The reported necessity of finding a lawyer due to payment disputes and unfulfilled contract obligations, alongside the hardship faced by a homeowner paying rent for months due to delays, indicates that potential clients must exercise extreme caution.
For any Ohio resident considering National Fire & Water Repair for complex or emergency general contracting work, it is strongly recommended to conduct extensive, independent due diligence. Verify recent project completion timelines, request multiple references from recently finished, similar restoration projects, and establish clear, legally binding contractual terms regarding quality control, financial milestones, and communication protocols before committing to their services.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Absolutely Horrible. Jefferey Lawrence will take the insurance money, drag his feet about getting the workers in to commit to doing the job and go on multiple vacations. It’s been over a year since my grandmothers house caught fire, and she’s still been giving the run around about the completion of the house. The house was supposed to be done six months ago. The do everything backwards. Put up a roof that still was burned from the fire and they had to redo it. No gutters, so with all this rain it’s causing her basement to flood. Their painting and haven’t gotten the cabinets or other things installed. The only plus we have is that the code inspector came out to take pictures and said they’ll be back soon. I do not recommend this company but business and they do not like to communicate. If the shoe was on the other foot and it was their loved ones I’m sure this wouldn’t be tolerated. HORRIBLE!!
Jul 04, 2025 · JaKendra LangfordMy grandmother had a house fire and the insurance company has been using this company to repair her home. Her house has been worked on for a year and a half at this point. They got money from the insurance company to do the repairs. Well, it appears that they have ran over budget and are dragging their feet to get her house done. They are trying to get out of repairs that were included in the contract my grandma had approved by the insurance company. They never put the gutters back on the house after doing the roof and now her basement is a mess and flooded. Which that will probably end up needing repairs again too. Who knows when she will be back in her home. Keep in mind, her house was supposed to be done almost 6 months ago and the insurance company only paid for her living situation for 12 months as her house should have been done. The last almost 6 months she has had to pay rent on her own. And not to mention, the workers are unsupervised and smoke marijuana on the job. At this point, I am looking towards helping my grandmother find a lawyer.
Jul 04, 2025 · AmberTyler and his guys from national fire and water repair were wonderful in my time of need! Woke up to several inches of water covering my basement floor one morning and him and his men were quick to come out and get it taken care of for me! They were all so helpful, genuine, readily available if I had any questions, very professional and personable. Their people skills are top notch, which is hard to come by it seems anymore, that will take this company far. Thanks again guys for all your hard work in saving my basement!
