We wholeheartedly recommend First2Respond, and specifically Jose and Jason for any remediation work! Jose and Jason worked on two projects in our apartment that turned out to be larger in scope than anticipated and they ended up being in and out of our unit for three months, including early mornings and weekends. We are so grateful for their thoroughness, cleanliness, and their knowledge. But even more importantly for us, we are grateful for their positive attitudes, kindness, and for how considerate they are. We have a toddler who simply loved Jason, and they were both so sweet with him. They also were quiet during his nap times, conscientious about taking off their shoes, and all around a pleasure to have in our home despite the circumstances. They are great at what they do and also just really good people.

I've never written a Google review, but I had to for Chris, Ruben, Jose, and First to Respond Restoration. They were recommended to us by another family in our area when we had an HVAC leak that led to water damage in our drywall and in the crawlspace under our house, and if we ever have a problem again, they're who we'll go to right away.We initially got multiple quotes, but we immediately found Ruben (who came onsite) to be kind and honest in a way that the other companies who came out weren't. Ruben let us know that only half the insulation under our house was wet and needed replacing, while other companies claimed it all needed replacing, among other suggestions for major repairs (one claimed we needed to tear out and replace all of our wood flooring). The biggest thing that stood out to us was that Ruben seemed genuinely interested in helping us solve the problem, whereas the other companies we met with seemed most interested in racking up a high bill through our insurance (one company who came told us they didn't even need to look at the problem, then started selling us on their success rate for getting insurance claims approved, adding that we wouldn't even need to see the bill they'd submit). Also, that day, even before we'd decided to go with FTR, Ruben offered to haul away some moldy drywall that we'd torn out for us.Then there was the job itself. Chris's team did exactly what they promised and more. We decided to handle the drywall tearout / repair ourselves and Ruben offered to come in and apply the same treatment to the studs that he'd done to the bottom of the house, as he let us know that bleach doesn't really work. And when they noticed that the crawlspace was still a little wet after the two-day dry out that was intended to be the end of the job, they proactively asked if they could come back the following week to put down some moisture absorbent under the house. They ended up coming back twice, once to install it and the next day to do a final check. This wasn't an additional cost, they just did it to finish the job right. Water damage certainly isn't an area of expertise for us and they could've taken advantage of that, but they didn't. Again, we were just incredibly impressed with how kind and genuine this team and company were, truly from start to finish.I echo all of the other five-star reviews for FTR and wholeheartedly recommend them if you end up needing a restoration company. Huge thanks again to Chris, Ruben, Jose, and the team members who came out to help repair our issue.

My husband and I bought our first house less than six months ago, and already have had to do some major surprise repairs. One day our ceiling collapsed and exposed years of water and mold damage. This was not something we could put off, so we jumped on a search. We worked with First To Respond Restoration after having to fire another company who started our job. We actually met Chris at FTR before this other company, they were in fact, the first ones to respond. Not knowing what mold remediation entailed, we compared the two companies’ estimates side by side trying to see if we could make sense of the line items. We just saw that this other company was about half the cost to do the same job. We did NOT take the time we should have to notice and review the 17-page report with pictures and descriptions that Chris sent us along with his estimate. We ignored our gut telling us that this other company didn’t have believable reviews all made on the same date and overlooked that FTR had excellent and consistent reviews. I don’t know why we didn’t take the time to do our research, probably because we were so worried about the mold that had made our ceiling collapse seemingly out of nowhere and we had a one-year old baby in the next room. When the other company changed their plan for what needed to happen with no straight answer and lots of variation in cost, we had to question all of it. It was now going to be 7-10 times what they initially estimated. We decided to put a pause on our work with them and get a third opinion, from Chris at FTR. He could tell we were being taken advantage of and offered to come back and assess the job again on a Saturday morning. Chris spent lots of time with us to answer our questions and provided a detailed and updated work order/estimate. We decided to change companies and close out with the other one. Best decision we made during this nightmare. Chris explained what the plan was, and how the next week would look. Davin (Project Manager), Erick (Lead Tech), Andre, & Byron were excellent. I was updated 1-2 times a day and notified if there were any new findings. I have documentation and photographs of the entire process to submit to our insurance company, and their work is extremely thorough. Mold remediation is not a pleasant experience, but the guys were all so helpful, professional, and had a great attitude—it was truly a pleasure to do business with them. We recommend First To Respond for your restoration needs, over and above the rest. Straight forward, honest, professional.

We were recommended Chris and his team at First to Respond from George at Bye Bye Mold and Chris and his team absolutely delivered world class service. They were incredibly professional but most of all thorough (which is what you want when dealing with mold remediation). The mold in our home was way worse than we thought so it ended up being a massive job but Chris's team kept us updating each day sending photos and an outline of the plan for the day. Their work passed the mold clearance test from another company with flying colors (even the mold clearance tester said they did an incredible job). We would highly recommend First to Respond to anyone looking for a top notch remediation company!

I would highly recommend Chris and his team to do any restoration work your property might need. I was referred to Chris in the beginning by the mold inspector who had tested my property. I contacted and spoke with several different remediation companies to figure out what the cause of the mold was, but Chris was really the only one who was able to figure it out and to give a cost-effective plan of attack. What I appreciated most about Chris is that he was not only very knowledgeable about mold and how to remediate it, but how he recommended solutions that worked within my budget. Moreover, his price was very fair. If I ever have any further mold issues (knock on wood), I will definitely be contacting him.
