CRDN Introduce
Introduction / Overview
For residents and businesses across the greater New York region, recovering from property damage caused by fire, water, or storms is an intensely stressful and complex process. When a disaster strikes, the immediate focus is often on the structure of the building. However, what fills that structure—your personal belongings, business assets, and treasured items—is what makes a house a home or a business operational. This contents restoration work is a specialized and critical part of the overall disaster recovery effort.
CRDN, which stands for Certified Restoration Drycleaning Network, operates as a key component of the emergency response team in the New York area. Unlike general cleaning or construction companies, CRDN's primary focus is on the contents of the property, specializing in the cleaning, deodorization, and restoration of textiles, electronics, and art. The goal of this service is to restore items to their pre-loss condition, effectively reducing the financial cost of replacement and providing a degree of comfort by saving irreplaceable possessions.
The local Elmsford, NY, facility serves as an operational base for offering these highly specialized services throughout the region, working closely with policyholders, insurance adjusters, and general restoration contractors to manage the content recovery phase of a claim. This contents focus is a niche discipline, requiring specialized equipment and technical knowledge to handle items that have been exposed to corrosive soot, persistent smoke odors, and damaging water exposure.
Location and Accessibility
The physical location serving the New York area is situated for convenient access to Westchester County and the surrounding boroughs and communities. Being centrally located in Elmsford allows for rapid emergency response throughout a significant portion of the downstate region, which is essential when dealing with time-sensitive damage from water, smoke, and mold.
The facility for CRDN is located at:
15 Haven St, Elmsford, NY 10523, USA
This location allows the team to mobilize quickly for 'pack-out' and inventory services, transporting damaged contents to the secure, controlled environment of the restoration facility. In the aftermath of a disaster, a rapid response is crucial to mitigating further damage, such as the onset of mold on wet textiles and the corrosive effects of soot on electronics. The proximity of the facility to major New York thoroughfares aids in this logistical necessity.
Services Offered
The core of CRDN's offering is its comprehensive contents restoration capability, extending far beyond standard cleaning. The process is a multi-step service designed to manage the full life cycle of contents during the restoration of a property. Services provided by the Elmsford-based operation include:

Features / Highlights
The specialized nature of content restoration distinguishes this service from general disaster cleanup, allowing for the salvage of items that might otherwise be considered a total loss. Key operational features and highlights of the service in the New York area include:
- Specialized Equipment and Technology: Utilizing commercial-grade, proprietary equipment for cleaning and odor removal, such as advanced wet cleaning systems and ozone treatment chambers, ensuring a scientific approach to damage reversal.
- Focus on Non-Structural Recovery: Providing a targeted service that relieves homeowners and property managers of the burden of personal item recovery, allowing them to concentrate on structural rebuilding (Construction Work).
- Detailed Inventory and Documentation: A rigorous cataloging process is employed during the pack-out phase, intended to provide comprehensive records for both the policyholder and the Insurance Adjusters, which is vital for Contents Insurance claims.
- Decontamination Protocols: Using deionized cleaning solutions and multiple levels of decontamination to safely clean electronics and textiles, removing corrosive residues from Smoke And Soot Damage.
- Environmental Responsibility: By restoring millions of pounds of textiles and electronics annually, the process inherently contributes to a significant reduction in landfill waste compared to immediate replacement.
- 24/7 Emergency Mobilization: Ready response capabilities for time-sensitive events like Flooded Basements or House Fire incidents, minimizing secondary damage.
Contact Information

Address: 15 Haven St, Elmsford, NY 10523, USA
For emergency claims and immediate assistance, most national restoration networks, including CRDN, maintain a centralized 24-hour claim line. It is always recommended that customers consult with their insurance agent or primary restoration contractor for the official process of assigning a contents claim.
What is worth choosing
The decision to engage a specialist contents restoration company in the New York area comes down to two major factors: preservation of value and peace of mind. While the recovery process can be challenging, the possibility of restoring irreplaceable or high-value items is often preferable to simply accepting a cash settlement for replacement. The specialized techniques used, such as advanced wet cleaning for textiles and careful ultrasonic cleaning for Electronics Restoration, offer a higher likelihood of success for complex damage than standard cleaning methods.
For New York residents, choosing a provider with robust processes is paramount. The initial inventory and documentation (the "pack-out" phase) is arguably the most critical step, as it establishes the record for all items being removed, cleaned, and stored. Policyholders are advised to be present, engaged, and highly detailed during this phase to ensure every valuable item is properly cataloged and accounted for. A professional contents restoration company should be transparent about their tracking systems, storage conditions, and their quality control checks before the return of restored items. Comprehensive communication throughout the restoration timeline provides the necessary reassurance during a time of great upheaval, helping individuals and families resume their lives after a disaster. The goal of any reputable contents restoration specialist is to bridge the gap between damage and full recovery, leveraging technical expertise to save what matters most.

CRDN Reviews
Do not under any circumstances use this company, you will regret it, they will take your property, catalog it improperly, not even close to the actual items, then deny ever having a very valuable item. Fraud doesn't even come close. Beware!!!! If I could post minus stars I would, the stress and heartache they have caused me is unconsciosable.
Aug 24, 2024 · JoAnn Natarelli-WillisReceived a box of towels & blankets that mouse droppings had fallen on when the roof & old insulation collapsed.Opened the boxes and they were all tagged up as if they had been done, but it is absolutely obvious they weren't.Probably would have been better not to shake the dirt & droppings off of them, maybe they would have washed them.In other words... if they don't think it looks dirty? They aren't doing it.But I assure you that they have no problem whatsoever charging the insurance company thousands of dollars.Just what the world needs right now, more people who take without reciprocity.
Oct 30, 2017 · Bunny MunroThis company is over priced and does not explain the process or give estimates before taking all of your items after a fire or flood, etc. for example they charged $4 each to clean belts that could have been wiped down with soap and water and charged $95 for cleaning a jacket which costs only $30 in the first place. They don’t even ask you which items you would like them to take because they charge you per item in the end, they want to get as much as possible. They took a brand new comforter set not even opened in the plastic bag and charged $140 to clean it. The man who came to my home was rude and could not even communicate with the workers who were actually taking the clothing due to a language barrier. In my opinion this company is unprofessional and a rip off. If you have a fire, flood, or other damage to your home take your time accessing your claim and consider the amount of money you will spend getting your clothes cleaned when you can shop around or do it yourself. My wife and I lost all of our clothing in a fire and the cleaning company took less than half of our clothes to recover and charged us $4,000 for this. We could have went and got new wardrobes for less money!
