May 28, 2024 · Christine RooneyWe had a fire in our kitchen and our insurance company contracted with 24 Restore for repairs. They responded the day after the claim was submitted to look at the damage and gather information to create an estimate. I was optimistic that it was going to be a good experience, but I was wrong. Once the insurance company approved the estimate, it took weeks for them to begin work. We were told “end of this week” and the end of the week would arrive without any contact from the company. This happened for over a month. There were multiple times we attempted to make contact with the contractor only to be told that he was out of the office for several days. This happened quite a few times over the two and a half month period from the time the fire occurred until repairs were finished. When they finally began work, it was sloppy. The painters were NOT professional, I could have done a better job myself. We’d paid almost the same amount to have our house painted less than two years prior to this incident and those painters did phenomenal work. I’m still disgusted when I look around and see the subpar job 24 Restore’s painters did (and that’s after they “fixed” their mistakes several times). The paint job on our cabinets is a joke and is already showing signs of wear a month after the job has been completed. The painters were sloppy and got paint on the walls and in the bathtub of our guest bathroom where they attempted to clean their brushes. They killed grass and messed up the mulching job in our front yard where they also attempted to clean their brushes. They removed a cabinet and took it to their cabinet shop so that they could “rebuild” it. I’m pretty sure they just did some hefty painting and sanding, they didn’t even attach new hardware. They installed the “new” cabinet with hardware that was covered in soot and smoke damage. There were several things left off the original estimate and I had to mention those MULTIPLE times for them to be addressed. The workers did not clean up after themselves. We’re still trying to get sawdust out of our garage from where they cut plywood for the flooring. They worked with the doors open in the middle of June and turned our thermostat down to 60 degrees while the doors were open and didn’t even bother to turn it back up when they left. This happened on three different occasions. We tried to be patient and understanding due to the current labor shortage, but the lack of communication from the company about start dates, as well as the lack in quality of work was just unacceptable and had nothing to do with the labor shortage. In the end, one of the head guys on the crew really stepped up and made sure we were taken care of. If it hadn’t been for him, I don’t know how much longer the repairs would have taken. He’s the main reason I’m giving the company two stars, and not one.

Blake and his team were in constant communication with me about the repairs and how it would be handled. I live in a two story home and the damages I had done were pretty extensive, but they completed my entire home in a month. During the month I was never harassed or pressured in any with what I needed to. I would absolutely recommend 24 restore to anyone! I'm truly happy with the repairs.
Jan 16, 2017 · Stephanie SM24 Restore refused to redo the electrical work that was not done properly in the beginning. For example, the lighting fixture in my bathroom and the motion light outside was not installed properly. Just recently they refused to come back to take a look at the work that was done. I am a Senior citizen and I have no ideal of electrical work but I do know that it was improperly installed. The kit fell out of the ceiling when I had to get a new bulb put in and the motion light outside will not stay on. They have one man to come out and do the initial evaluation but when the work is was being done he never came to the house and the work was not communicated to the workers or the supervisors. I paid over $2,000 for a rip off. I will never use them again. Now I can't post my comments.
Sep 09, 2016 · Sylvia JonesCame out Friday after being contacted by my insurance. The guys that came out were great. They found a reading of 17% under the house, but 56%-60% inside by the toilet (the rest of the bathroom floor had a baseline under 20%). The guys that came out said there was most likely still dampness in that area, would need to be pulled up and dried out or checked for damage, because they couldn’t see it from the crawl space area. Today, my insurance calls to say they got a VERY short email from the company saying “no moisture found, cancel request”. My insurance agent and I both called to ask what the deal was. Pretty much told because it “wasn’t wet on the bottom, there is no mitigation needed, and 60% is a normal moisture reading level”. Email did not include the pictures of the reading levels (that I physically was shown and watched them take pictures of) or area of issue. The crawl space defiantly shows heavy mildew (they said no mold…), but if heavy mildew is seen in the crawl space… (with a low moisture reading) what does the flooring in between look like since it’s absolutely still holding moisture?! No estimate was sent, just literally the “no moisture found, cancel request”. Please just send all the information/pictures/ to the insurance, and include that the damage IN the floor is unknown.
