We called PuroClean for water in our laundry room (7’3” x 6’3”) which had seeped into the adjacent entry way (5’3” x 6’3”) and was dripping into our unfinished basement below.We chose PuroClean for their high reviews. Our experience did not match those reviews.(Scroll to bottom for TL;DR)The technicians were all very personable and kind. We had no issues with anyone who we dealt with face to face.Unfortunately, this company is not upfront with cost of service. We had an “emergency call” because we discovered our issue on a Saturday. I understood we probably wouldn’t get a quote on price because it was the weekend and we’d be dinged for a weekend callout. (I’ve worked in the service industry and for small local businesses.) While I assumed we’d receive an estimate eventually for cost of service, pricing was never discussed.It should also be noted that we hoped to not make an insurance claim with this issue.Eventually, after five days of fans and dehumidifiers running, the technicians decided that the floor needed to be pulled up to finish drying.At this point, I started inquiring about price. I did not want them to begin ripping stuff out of my house without knowing how much it cost first. I knew it needed to come out, but I wanted to know the price before we started what felt like things which would significantly impact price.While I was firm in my phone calls with this company, I was not rude to the office staff. However, the moment I started inquiring about price I was met with dismissiveness from this company.When I asked for an estimate, I was told “You don’t have to make an insurance claim until after we bill you. So, you can decide then if you want to involve insurance.”I was already aware of that fact and it didn’t answer my question.I was eventually able to get a “ballpark” estimate of $5,000 for mitigation and tear out. I didn’t find a “ballpark” estimate acceptable and was told the ballpark estimate was all I was going to get because the individual who handles estimates was at another job and couldn’t look at my specific issue.While the estimate seemed really high, I didn’t really care about price as much as I wanted a legitimate estimate which used the dimensions of my house where the issue was before I felt comfortable moving forward.I’m not used to “purchasing” a good or service only to be told the price once it’s too late for me to make an informed decision.So, I told PuroClean that service would not continue until I received a true and reliable estimate for my situation, meaning I wasn’t going to have them tear out my floor until I knew how much it would actually cost.They immediately pulled out all their machines from my property and said I would receive an estimate later that day (Friday, Aug 29) or the next Monday (Sept. 1).I did not hear back from PuroClean until I received the final estimate on Friday, Sept. 19 for ONLY the service we’d already received. They were ending service at my address without tearing up the floor they said needed torn up and without fully completing the job.For an area of about 80 square feet, where water only affected the floor (any water that dripped to the basement was toweled up by my wife before they arrived), we were charged $2,945 for them to run 2 dehumidifiers and 11 fans in our house for less than a week.If you do not want to make an insurance claim, maybe look elsewhere for water mitigation/restoration services.Fortunately, I have great family, who were able to help in this situation that did not leave us high and dry (well, actually high and wet) like PuroClean. We were able to tear out the flooring, complete the drying process and begin the process of replacing the flooring that was destroyed.TL;DR For an area about 80 square feet, we ended up paying $2,945 for their fans and two dehumidifiers to run in our house for less than 5 days and the company immediately packed up all their machines and ended service as soon as I started inquiring about price.

We came to PuroClean after a poor experience doing two rounds of mold remediation with another local company. This had been almost a full year of work. I have Lyme disease and have been very negatively impacted by the mold. After independent inspections we determined where mold was left. Nathen came out to do an inspection and make an estimate and he told me where he thought the other company had gone wrong and what they would do different. While their quote was substantially more expensive than the other new quote we got, we went with them because you could tell how thorough they were and that they truly understand the right way to handle mold remediation. Our job encompassed 5 areas of our home and took in all about 4 weeks. Throughout it all, we were beyond pleased with the work they did. Ryan was who was our handling remediation the most and he provided great communication and reassured me numerous times that he wouldn’t leave until he figured out the source of water they found and would treat our home as if it was his own. They followed proper containment protocols and took an overly cautious approach knowing I’m immunocompromised. I appreciated how much Nathen was on top of subcontractors would make sure to lock down exactly when I could expect them to arrive and keep them to their deadlines. The owners Adam and Steve were out multiple times and truly great people. They worked with us on price where they could as this quickly became a bigger job than we originally thought. Dealing with mold in our home while I’ve been chronically ill for 2+ years has been a nightmare, but I can’t say enough good things about the experience working with PuroClean. It’s never fun having to spend so much money on something, but it’s beyond worth it knowing they got the job done right and that the money is going to good people.

I have nothing but great things to say about this company. As a building engineer I look for and expect quality work. When facing an insurmountable water loss at one of my properties Puroclean was not only on site within the hour. But showed up armed with all the necessary tools and great attitudes. The water mitigation was flawless. The building was well taken care of. The residents safety and comfort was always in the front of the workers minds. All the help navigating the process with the insurance company was priceless. Puroclean will always be my first call for any problems in the future. Integrity and excellence was promised and they delivered.

PuroClean provided exceptional communication and top-notch work for our nonprofit, Safe Place Foundation (sober transitional housing). They completed the requested tasks, identified mold and asbestos issues, and had owner Steven Feldmann personally handle the removal and reconstruction of the mold-affected area. They also arranged testing for suspected asbestos in pipelines and coordinated with an abatement company, making the experience truly amazing.

Was able to get ahold of puroclean when I had a bathroom flood. I was able to get them out to my place in an hour. They inspected the damage and gave me a game plan for the best options for a least invasive repair. They made a curtain around the damaged area and took out all the damaged drywall, insulation and dried out the room. Then they put the walls back together and painted it to match. All the work they did and the rest of the building was not effected with dust or debris. Very happy with this company. Easy to get ahold of, fast, efficient and cleaned as they went. Would recommend and will use again for future issues.
