Master Build's listed address is located at 690 N Reilly Rd #214, Fayetteville, NC 28303. This location places the business squarely within the Fayetteville community, making it easily accessible for local residents in need of roofing services. Being situated in a central part of Fayetteville suggests that the company is well-positioned to serve a wide radius of the surrounding area, including nearby towns and neighborhoods.
For residents in Fayetteville and the greater North Carolina region, accessibility to a contractor is a key factor when a roofing emergency or project arises. A local presence can mean faster response times and a deeper understanding of the specific building codes and weather patterns of the area.
While the physical address is listed, some public feedback indicates that there have been issues with business addresses on contracts, with some customers noting the use of a P.O. box. This is a crucial detail to verify when considering any contractor, as North Carolina law requires specific information to be included on contracts. Always check that the contract you are provided has a complete physical address.
Master Build's location on N Reilly Rd is a well-known thoroughfare in Fayetteville, making it easy for customers to find the office. Proximity to major roads and highways is a significant advantage, allowing for efficient travel to job sites across the region.
The convenience of a local contractor cannot be overstated. From initial consultations to on-site inspections and project completion, having a business located nearby can simplify the entire process.
Based on publicly available information and customer reviews, Master Build has been associated with a range of roofing and restoration services. These services have included:
- Roof replacement
- Roof repair, particularly after storm damage (e.g., Hurricane Michael)
- General construction and restoration work
It is important to note that public records from the NC Secretary of State indicate that the company has been registered as a "construction and restoration company," but not specifically as a "roofing company." This distinction is an important consideration for homeowners, as it may affect the scope of services and the type of expertise they bring to a roofing project.
Customer feedback has highlighted specific issues related to these services, including the use of mismatched shingles and the alleged neglect of crucial components like flashing during repairs. These are critical aspects of a professional roofing job, and such details should be a part of any homeowner's vetting process.
Additionally, some customer reviews have pointed to a specific clause in their contracts, which states that the company "only provides labor warranties to certain installation types" without specifying which ones. This could have significant implications for homeowners should a workmanship claim arise, and it's a detail that should be clarified before any work begins.
When considering Master Build or any contractor, always ask for a detailed breakdown of the services included in your quote.
Based on customer feedback and public records, there are several key features and highlights associated with Master Build that are important for North Carolina residents to consider:
- Corporate Status: The company, Master Build Enterprises, Inc., was administratively dissolved by the NC Secretary of State in February 2023 for failing to file annual reports.
- Business Evolution: According to public records and customer feedback, the business has re-emerged under a new name, Skyview Enterprises LLC, with the same registered agent and president. This is a crucial detail for anyone looking for a contractor, as the history of a business can be a significant indicator of its reliability.
- Contractual Issues: Public feedback highlights that the company's contract has allegedly been in violation of NC law. Specifically, it has been noted to not list the physical address of the business and to contain clauses that may not align with state regulations, such as the requirement to hold down payments in trust.
- Workmanship Concerns: Customer reviews have raised concerns about the quality of workmanship, with specific examples including a leaky roof after a year and the use of mismatched shingles.
- Warranty and Liability: The contract used by the company has been noted to state that the company is not responsible for workmanship claims, which are instead to be made against a "contractor" or "third party" that they hire. This could present a significant problem for a homeowner.
These points are critical for homeowners to investigate thoroughly. A contractor's history, their adherence to state laws, and their contractual terms are all vital components of a trustworthy business relationship.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Not a client; however, a friend of mine was. Be advised, Master Build Enterprises no longer exists since it was administratively dissolved by the NC Secretary of State for failing to file annual reports as required by law. Tells you everything you should know about Chris Garrett. Additionally, he is usinga contract that is in violation of NC law...it does not list the physical address of the business, only a P.O. box. There are several other problems, as well. To be continued... Be further advised that Master Build has re-emerged as Skyview Enterprises. Avoid using Skyview as well.Update: 1.21.25. According to the data of NC Secretary of State (NC SOS) Master Build Enterprises, Inc. filed a report dated 3.8.21 signed by Joel Garrett who is listed as President, and Katrina Kimmel as Vice President. (MBE was admin. dissolved 2.17.23 per NC SOS). Additionally, the PO box 53374 is the same as the PO box listed on a Sky View Enterprises LLC contract written in 2024. Further, the physical addresses of Lucinda Lane, Linden, NC match. Additionally, Joel Garrett is listed as the registered agent/president of Sky View Enterprises LLC. Therefore, I have the right company, right name, and right info. provided to me by the NC Secretary of State...and, yes, Master Build Enterprises Inc and Sky View Enterprises LLC are one and the same...except for the company name change. Please note: If you are planning to use Sky View Enterprises LLC for replacing your roof, be advised that their contract, according to NC law, MUST contain a clause that says any funds paid as a down payment, must be held in trust... .Update: 1.26.25. Despite denials from the MB "owner," Joel Garrett aka Chris Garrett, who was the "president" of the now defunct Master Build (MB) is now the "president" of Sky View Enterprises (SVE) LLC. Additionally, Sky View Enterprises LLC uses the same contract as it did with MB, except for name changes and other minor adjustments. SVE is registered with the NC SOS as a construction and restoration company, NOT AS A ROOFING COMPANY. SVE's contract says that..."SVE only provides labor warranties to certain installation types"...without naming the types. Therefore, a workmanship claim must be made against the "contractor" or "third party" that SVE hires to do the job. Note: SVE is not responsible for workmanship claims, per the SVE contract. Could present a big problem if the "contractor" goes out of business.
Jan 31, 2025 · J LangHad roof damage from Hurricane Michael. Master Build not only placed mismatched shingles on our roof without asking, they also carelessly attempted to toss them on the roof from the ground. Our door bell camera caught the entire thing. Flash forward a year and my roof is leaking in the exact same spot. Master Build claims it is not because of them. When the new company repaired Master Builds work, they found that they also neglected to put any flashing down.Worst company I have ever dealt with. Save your money and aggravation. Please take your business elsewhere.
Jan 12, 2020 · Jonathan ReisherIn the rare time I could get anyone to come out and give me an estimate of my roof, the rates were high, but of course I don't know enough about roofing to have known better. When I finally was ready to move forward to get my roof replaced, I began looking into actually hiring someone. Master Build was just about the only company I could get to reply. Not only did they reply, they communicated with professionalism and courtesy. The estimate came within a day (MUCH lower than estimates I was able to get before), and even though I was overseas, they worked with me on methods of payment. They set up an appointment to repair my roof within the next week, and had the job done in two days. The entire process was amazingly quick, the entire treatment from them was completely professional. The communication was exceptional, as I remained informed of what was going on every step of the way. At no point was I left wondering what the next step was supposed to be. After the job was done, they sent pictures showing every detail of their work. The people in the house at the time had nothing but high praise for how they worked and how they treated those within. This is what a company should be. It's hard to find truly professional construction contractors, these days. I plan to use them for several more home repair projects in the future, and would recommend them to anyone.
Jan 18, 2019 · Trench WolfhoundI can’t say enough good things about this company. I contacted them after they left a note on my door suggesting I might have storm damage to my roof. After their initial inspection (at no cost to me) they concluded there was damage and THEY contacted my insurance company. The insurance adjuster sent in the claim, and I was approved. Shortly after that we scheduled the job. There men were prompt, courteous, did a first rate job and cleaned up afterward. I would highly recommend them!
Jul 07, 2017 · Jawhn MacCaineI found this company through Google for roof work on a rental home we own. Initially, my insurance only deemed my roof repairable but after getting in contact with MBE, they had an adjuster come out again and had the roof deemed replaceable.Being in a different state, overseas, I had a lot of concern if the company was legitimate and didn't want to be scammed financially or physically with the roof work. I had most of my conversations with Chris at MBE and he was nice and reassuring throughout even when I had doubts. My only dislike were some things were said and then changed like I could send them the insurance check and have them do it all or I could do it myself to then no, I'm not supposed to do it myself etc. Also the contracts are a little confusing so make sure to read the fine print on them before committing.Other than that, everything turned out great. They were paid, my roof was replaced completely and my uncle (who's a contractor) verified the good work and cleanup!
