What is Worth Choosing
Selecting a General Contractor for disaster restoration in Pennsylvania is a decision based on trust, capability, and reliability, especially when dealing with the emotional and financial strain of property damage. What makes a specialized contractor like BMS CAT worth choosing is their singular focus on the complexities inherent in property damage restoration, unlike a standard contractor who might lack the necessary technical equipment or emergency protocols.
The main value proposition lies in the immediate availability of Emergency Services and the technological edge provided by tools like Infrared Cameras. When a pipe bursts or a fire occurs, time is truly money, and a delay in response can lead to significantly worse secondary damage, such as widespread mold growth. A General Contractor with dedicated Disaster Restoration services is prepared to mobilize quickly, secure the site, and begin the mitigation process immediately, which is often a requirement of property insurance policies.
Furthermore, in the contracting world, experiences can vary widely, as local users often share stories of subpar quality, miscommunication, and financial disputes related to materials or labor. Choosing a contractor committed to full-scale General Contracting means seeking a partner who can manage subcontractors effectively, provide transparent, detailed estimates, and ensure high-quality workmanship from cleanup to the final coat of paint. The extensive list of technical services provided by BMS CAT—from specialized Content Cleaning to detailed structural repair—indicates a commitment to a higher standard of restoration that goes beyond simple reconstruction. For Pennsylvania property owners, this specialization provides the crucial reassurance that their property damage restoration project will be handled with professional expertise, comprehensive oversight, and a commitment to utilizing advanced techniques for the best possible outcome. This focus on expertise and comprehensive service is exactly what is needed to navigate the demanding process of rebuilding after an unforeseen event.
The ability to handle the Insurance Restoration process from end-to-end also removes a massive burden from the property owner. By engaging a General Contractor with deep experience in this area, Pennsylvanians can focus on recovering their lives while the professionals handle the technical documentation, communication with adjusters, and execution of the necessary Water Damage Restoration Service or Fire Damage Restoration Service. This integrated service model, rooted in the Yeadon location but serving the broader region, highlights why a specialized approach to General Contracting is often the superior choice for disaster-affected properties across the state.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This company should be out of business. They are bad every job they subcontract everything, they don’t know how to install a nail. They owe me $3500 made mePurchase materials and labor . The worst of the worst.
Aug 28, 2025 · R. L.I recently had water damage from a bathtub leaking into the kitchen. Our insurance company recommended Mellon. I've had a lot of frustrating experiences with various contractors lately, and working with Mellon was a breath of fresh air. They communicated throughout the process, gave us a detailed estimate, showed up when they said they were going to, did good work, and charged a very reasonable price to replace our drywall, paint, and install light fixtures- less than half of what another company charged just to tear the damaged drywall down. I recommend them and would use them again.
Jul 07, 2020 · FiscoloradoTruly outstanding experience! The team at Mellon went above and beyond in getting our house back in shape after substantial water damage. Our neighbors had a very positive experience with them in the past and recommended them - and I am glad they did!Specifically:- Mellon communicated with us very frequently and were very easy to reach.- They drew up both tentative and final realistic timetables with plenty of buffer for the unexpected. In our case, they worked on a very tight timeline to get our house back in order before our baby was due. Unexpected issues did arise, but Mellon still finished their work ahead of schedule (and just days before the baby came early!).- Their general approach was to do far more than the minimum necessary. (As an example, their painting was far better than both my own paint job and painters we had previously hired for other parts of the house.)- In the same vein, their craftsmanship and attention to detail frankly left our house looking better than before the damage even occurred.Overall, Mellon was a pleasure to work with, and without reservation I enthusiastically recommend them.
Aug 16, 2018 · Michael LaRiviereWorst company I have ever experienced in my life. Was recommended by my insurance company and should have seen the red flags from the start. Had water leaking in a bedroom back in May. They came out and looked at the room but Kurt said he could not go on the roof due to a prior injury and someone would come look. 4 weeks later they peaked up in the roof and said no damage to my roof when water was still leaking in. They proceeded to get the room done before the issue was even addressed. I then had roofing company out and found multiple holes and confirmed with the insurance company also. Given the run around after the botched room job also and again had to settle with the insurance company. Would give 0 stars if the option was here. Save yourself a headache and go elsewhere.
Dec 20, 2022 · Christian DavidsonIf you want unprofessional, rude, and aggressive you should hire these folks quick. We hired BMS through our insurance company and in the span of less than two business days they have:-had an employee text my wife about something not related to the job-had that same employee not show up due to his own scheduling error, resulting in a missed day of work-had Steve call and offer every excuse for the employee, no apologies, and become belligerent and angry when confronted about it.Gross.
