Arizona Construction & Restoration Introduce
In the Phoenix metropolitan area, where homeowners face a unique set of challenges from monsoon-related flooding to unexpected pipe bursts, a reliable and trustworthy partner for home restoration is a necessity. Navigating the aftermath of property damage—be it from water, fire, or mold—can be an incredibly stressful and overwhelming experience. This is where a company like Arizona Construction & Restoration (ACR) steps in, providing crucial support and expertise to help residents get their lives and their homes back on track. This article offers an in-depth look at ACR, exploring their extensive services, their commitment to the local community, and what makes them a go-to solution for many Arizonans in need of expert home repair and rebuilding.
Arizona Construction & Restoration has been a part of the Valley's landscape for years, establishing a reputation for handling everything from small-scale repairs to extensive, full-home reconstructions. Their approach goes beyond simply fixing the damage; they aim to restore peace of mind. As a local business, they understand the specific construction and environmental challenges of the region, from dealing with the intense desert heat to the swift, damaging effects of a summer storm. Their team of skilled professionals is equipped with the knowledge and tools to address these issues head-on, ensuring that the work is not only completed to a high standard but is also durable enough to withstand future Arizona weather. The company's longevity and local roots are a testament to their dedication to the community, building relationships with homeowners, business owners, and insurance adjusters alike to create a smoother, more efficient restoration process.
While the process of home restoration can be complex and challenging, ACR prides itself on its ability to manage projects from start to finish. This comprehensive service model is a significant advantage for clients who are already grappling with the stress of a disaster. Instead of coordinating multiple contractors for different stages of the rebuild, clients can rely on one team to handle the entire project, from the initial demolition to the final touches like new paint and cabinetry. This streamlined approach minimizes delays and miscommunications, providing a more consistent and reassuring experience for the homeowner.
However, as with any major construction or restoration project, the experience can vary. Some customers have praised ACR for its high level of organization, clear communication, and the professionalism of its crew members. One customer shared a very positive experience, stating that the company was well-organized and kept them informed throughout each phase of the project, highly recommending them for their fair pricing and trustworthy service. Another review highlighted the phenomenal work of the crew, noting their prompt, cordial, and professional demeanor while restoring a bathroom after a toilet leak. This feedback speaks to the company's commitment to quality craftsmanship and customer care.
On the other hand, some customers have faced challenges with project timelines, communication, and subcontractor issues. One detailed review highlighted a six-month reconstruction project with multiple delays, internal issues, and poor communication from project managers. The review also pointed out a significant issue with an unlicensed subcontractor and billing discrepancies. This serves as a reminder for any homeowner to stay actively involved in their project, document all communication, and meticulously review all paperwork. However, it's worth noting that in this particular case, the customer had a positive resolution after escalating their concerns to the company's president, Zach Brizzee, who personally addressed and corrected the issues. This highlights the company's commitment to making things right and underscores the value of open communication with management when problems arise.
Ultimately, what makes Arizona Construction & Restoration a suitable choice for locals is their dedication to correcting problems and their extensive experience in the field. When an unexpected disaster turns your life upside down, having a company that not only has the expertise to fix the damage but also the commitment to ensure a satisfactory outcome is critical. Their willingness to listen to customer frustrations and take direct action to resolve them shows a genuine desire to serve the community they call home.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 11. Duration: It took ACR 6 months with at least 5 extensions to complete reconstruction on a 3 bedroom home. They did drywall/baseboards, cabinets, and countertops. Add in 2 small demolition jobs that took them one day each to finish. We were out of our home from January - mid July. They repeatedly promised our insurance adjuster that they would be finished in April. I should make it clear that NONE of the extensions were due to anything we did or didn’t do and all of the reasons were due to internal issues with the company and subcontractors.2. Employee/Internal issues/contract violations: Our first project manager was fired after he allowed a drywall subcontractor to bring his BABY to work with him in our home. We stopped by our house one day to check on things and our son’s outdoor toys were brought inside and there were used diapers and pizza everywhere. The hose was running and our backyard was flooded and the guy took our house key home with him. There were multiple items in my backyard that were broken and damaged as if the boy had paint/drywall on his hands. The little kid dribbled all over freshly painted white walls with a pencil. I had to call and report this to ACR- I also had to be the one to initiate that the drywall guy be taken off the job due to the danger of the little boy being hurt as there were nails and sharp objects all over the house at this point. When we got a new project manager, he tells us that he walked in and saw the little boy “running around butt naked”. Then he proceeds to tell us that the drywall guy wasn’t even in our home. HIS WIFE WAS DOING OUR DRYWALL!!! This clearly violates ACR’s own contract which states that all subcontractors are licensed as an UNLICENSED woman did our entire drywall in our home.3. Unprofessionalism/ Poor communication: Our first project manager was weird- I would ask him questions and he would never directly answer me. I thought this would get better with the next guy but he was just the same- maybe worse. I have text/emails in which I asked a question about our countertops 3 separate times and he never responded. The logical next step would be to call and ask but I learned early on that IF YOU END UP WORKING WITH THIS COMPANY KEEP EVERYTHING DOCUMENTED via text and email for receipts. The new project manager wanted to do things his way, he didn’t want to listen to anything I had to say about what I wanted in my own home. I wanted to purchase only 1 slab of quartz countertops and I knew exactly what I wanted. He tells me over and over that it’s going to be a “two slab job” and it’s not going to work with just 1 slab. I ask for measurements and he sarcastically responds with, “are you going to install them yourself?” So I trust that he knows what he’s talking about and I purchase 2 slabs. Now we are left with basically an entire slab of countertop because he refused to listen to what I wanted.4. If you allow this company to work on your house, do your DUE DILIGENCE and comb through the paperwork because they will charge you for work they never did. They charge a cleaning fee of $406 and left my home a mess. At the end of it all, they ask you to sign a certification of Satisfaction which I did not sign. They didn’t care or ask why, they took their insurance check and basically ran out of the house. *I should note that in the last few weeks of working with them, after complaining to my insurance adjuster, I received a call from Peter from ACR- he asked me what all needed to be done at our house and documented everything. It was the first time I felt heard by anyone from the company. The owner emailed me and apologized. He did reimburse me for the damaged items. I wish this type of communication and assurance happened in the beginning.*****UPDATED - The president of the company, Zach Brizzee, came by our home and listened to our frustrations and concerns. He made things right by having one of his employees fix a few issues that were left unresolved the first time around. I would recommend reaching out to him directly if you experience any issues.
Aug 15, 2024 · Kylie ThomasACR just finished a big job for us and I couldn’t be happier. They are well organized and tell you exactly what will happen in each phase and how long it will take. A++ on communication. Each person I worked with was very professional and excellent in what they do. I highly recommend this company. Price is very fair. You never know these days…you can trust ACR to get the job done right the first time. Thank you!🤘

Jul 31, 2022 · Maria MajorACR was referred to us by our insurance company after we experienced a garage fire on our newly built home. It was a really hard trial to endure and required us to put faith in this company in order to restore what we had so unexpectedly lost. To be completely candid, the majority of the process was rough. We faced a lot of uncertainty because the property manager that was assigned to our property, John, was incompetent and extremely shady. He hired family members and friends to do shoddy work and lied to us about being able to recover what we had originally had installed in our home. We built this home intentionally and had hand picked everything we wanted during that time, so to be told over and over again that things we once had were no longer on the market was upsetting but at the time we unfortunately trusted that he was telling us the truth. Fast forward past a lot of hardship that I will not include in this review to spare the company as I do think that the owner is a man of integrity, we find out that John was fired and we were re assigned a new project manager, Matt. Matt was great. He ended up firing the horrible contractors when they once again provided terrible work, and he, himself, did a majority of the work and re work to get the home looking close to what it had before. Aside from a few snags that are more or less expected, he was able to complete the home restoration. When things came up from the dishonesty of the initial project manager, John, Zack the owner, addressed it quickly. I wish we would have had the experience the first six months as we did the last month of the project, bit the important thing is that the company recognized the employee was awful, and they let him go, then they proceeded to make things right. The one thing I would like to make sure potential customers know, is that if you call for a possible maintenance issue, and they find that the issue is not a maintenance one, you will get billed and it's not a small amount. Because we had to deal with shoddy work for a majority of the process, we are a more than a little uneasy about things that appear wrong. We called about a leak in the garage ceiling and the company cut the dry wall to inspect where the water was coming from. They determined it was not from the work they performed and we were told we would be billed for the patch but that it wouldn't be much. We received the ledger and I guess their idea of what a little is and my idea are not the same. So my advise would be to get a quote before allowing them to do any potential warranty inspections and keep insurance in the loop just as a protection to you and your family. All in all, I wouldn't discourage anyone from using ACR as in the end, the owner made things right and the second project manager was more than qualified and efficient. Unfortunately we just had a really bad experience for most of the process and the "little" surprise bill after didn't feel upfront and particularly ethical, but that's one persons opinion.
Feb 11, 2025 · Chelsea GuhlI wanted to share my positive experience with ACR. After my water heater flooded my entire garage, causing extensive damage, ACR responded immediately and handled all the coordination with the insurance company. From start to finish, everything was outstanding. I would recommend them to anyone.
