What is Worth Choosing
For Missouri residents facing the stress of property damage, the choice of a restoration and general contractor is perhaps the most important step in the recovery process. What makes First Responders Restoration worth choosing is their commitment to providing a single, seamless process from emergency mitigation to final reconstruction. The value of an all-in-one provider cannot be overstated. When a flood or fire strikes, the initial work is water extraction and cleanup, but the job is not truly done until the property is rebuilt and all general construction is complete. By having general contracting and restoration under the same umbrella, they remove the burden of coordinating between separate cleanup crews, reconstruction specialists, and insurance adjusters.
While some customer experiences, as seen in available reviews, have highlighted challenges with scheduling and subcontractor coordination, particularly following large, community-wide storm events, the core of their service—the ability to provide a comprehensive restoration and rebuilding service—remains a major asset. One customer review noted the high quality of the initial mitigation and remediation crew, praising their informative nature, stress-free process, and quick turnaround, with the owner being personally involved in assisting flood victims. This focus on rapid response and direct involvement from management, as noted by customer interactions with 'Todd' and 'Jeff' (owner Jeffrey Lamm), underscores a commitment to customer support, even when facing high-demand periods.
The ability to handle water damage, fire damage, sewage cleanup, and roofing alongside full-scale remodeling and general construction makes them a powerful ally for any property owner. This full-service model, backed by an established local presence in St. Louis and a clear commitment to emergency response, ensures that when you choose First Responders Restoration, you are choosing a partner dedicated to restoring your property and your peace of mind throughout the greater Missouri area they serve.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This has been an extremely painful experience. When I first met with them, they appeared to be quick to respond, efficient, and professional. We had even let a different contractor go, because we were assured First Responders could handle it all. It has now been over a month, and we have had different contractors come in (some who do not even work directly with the company) to do small things for a couple of hours here and there. The electrician they hired in from outside the company even said that while the ceiling was missing, they did not properly inspect the wiring. He claimed he knows the owner of First Responders, and said he is extremely meticulous with his work, and would be irate if he knew this is how the job was done. They have sent other contractors here who did not know why they were being sent, so they came with no tools and borrowed mine, as well as made runs to the hardware store. On trash pickup from their mess, the person showed up and said no one had communicated with them that they would be doing clean up, so they proceeded to take the trash and pile it along the side of our house, which sat for a few days. The fascia that needed to be fixed was left lying in our backyard, which almost got run over by the mower. The same thing happened with the roof trash, which they left in the front yard. Their excuse each time was they were just very busy and cannot get to all the work at once. It seems they took too many jobs at once during a bad storm, and the customers needed to suffer. So far, I have given them the majority of the money for the work and the job has still not been completed. In fact, we have had very little communication lately. The insurance company said we should never cut the contractor the full amount for the check we were provided by them . However, this is what we were instructed to do by First Restoration. They are very nice-but this has been far from a good experience.
Apr 28, 2025 · Jason ShultzMy entire basement flooded and I was very well taken care of by Jeff's mitigation and remediation crew. I spoke to Todd over the phone and he was very informative and helped me understand the process of how they would go about this situation making me feel secure. Stress free process and the crew tried to be in and out as quick as possible.
Jun 11, 2025 · idrisIf you want to risk using a company that leaves ridge cap off of your roof for a month, and hope you don't notice, use this company. If you want to risk being ignored for a month, as a customer, and charged a 15% cancelation fee, use this company. If you want ro risk the wrong part being replaced on your solar- because senior reps don't understand how the system works, use this company. If you want to support a business that doesn't pay reps for the work they've done- use this company!Ps- look up the owner and your rep on case.net before using this company.
Jul 24, 2025 · Jenny LenggenhagerI can’t say enough good things about First Responders Restoration! After a major storm damaged my roof, I was scrambling to find a reliable company. These guys showed up quickly, gave me a fair and honest quote, and got the job done faster than I expected. The crew was professional, respectful, and kept everything clean throughout the process. You can tell they take pride in their work, and it shows in the quality of their craftsmanship. If you need roofing or restoration work done, I highly recommend them!
Feb 18, 2025 · Deon HouseSo, first things first, this is an incredible company! I'm glad we decided to go with them. There are tons of companies that do roofing, however most are dodgey or have a bad reputation. First responders however, have a great name and then we find out that they also donate back to law enforcement! As a veteran, that was huge for me. So, I definitely recommend giving them a shot, you will not be disappointed.
