For residents of California, especially those in the Brea area, a home emergency can be a deeply stressful experience. From a sudden pipe burst to a broken water heater, these events require a quick and professional response. This is where a company like Extreme Clean, which operates as a general contractor with a specialization in plumbing and water damage, becomes an essential resource. This article will provide an in-depth, factual overview of this local business, helping you understand their services, their location, and the range of experiences their customers have had. For locals, choosing the right professional to handle a home crisis is a crucial decision, and this guide is designed to give you the information you need to make an informed choice.
The role of a general contractor, particularly one that focuses on restoration, is multifaceted. They are not just there to fix a single problem; they are responsible for managing the entire repair process, from the initial cleanup to the final touches. Extreme Clean's approach, as seen through customer feedback, aims to tackle these projects holistically. However, as with any business, customer experiences can vary widely, and it's important to consider all perspectives. We will delve into the details of their operations, examining the positive outcomes experienced by some clients as well as the significant issues raised by others. This balanced view is key to understanding why they might be a perfect fit for one project but not for another.
Extreme Clean is located at 1390 Titan Way, Brea, CA 92821, USA. This location is a key factor for local accessibility. Being based in Brea means they are strategically positioned to serve the community and surrounding areas in Orange County. For residents facing a water-related emergency, a nearby service provider can be on-site much faster, which is critical for mitigating damage and preventing secondary issues like mold growth. The central Brea location also gives the business a strong local identity, suggesting a team that is familiar with the community's specific needs and local building codes.
As a general contractor, Extreme Clean's services are broad, but they specialize in projects related to water damage and its aftermath. This specialization is a major selling point for clients who are dealing with a flood or leak and need a single company to manage the entire restoration. Their services are designed to take a damaged property and return it to a "magazine-worthy" state, as one customer described.
Some of the services offered by Extreme Clean include:
- Water Damage Cleanup and Repair: This includes the initial response to a flood, such as removing damaged materials like cabinetry and sheet rock. They handle the entire process from cleanup to the final repairs.
- Home Restoration and Rebuilding: Beyond the immediate cleanup, they act as a general contractor to handle the full scope of a rebuild, including replacing flooring and baseboards and other necessary repairs to restore the home.
- Insurance Claim Management: A significant part of their service, as highlighted by a customer, is organizing all the work and dealing directly with the insurance company. This helps alleviate a major source of stress for homeowners.
- Plumbing Services: As a key part of their business, they handle the plumbing aspects of a water damage event, such as a broken water heater, ensuring the source of the problem is fixed.
- Project Management: They take on the role of managing the various trades involved in a large project, from flooring installers to painters, to ensure a cohesive and timely completion.
The features and highlights of Extreme Clean are a mixed bag, as evidenced by the contrasting customer reviews. On one hand, a client who experienced a flooded condo praised the company and a key contact, Yohanci, for their excellent work and comprehensive service. This client highlighted several positive features:
- Effective Project Management: Yohanci was praised for organizing all the work and dealing with the insurance company, which took a significant burden off the client.
- High-Quality Results: The client was extremely happy with the final outcome, stating that their place looked "SO amazing" and felt like "something I'd see in a magazine."
- Responsiveness to Issues: When a problem arose with the new baseboards, Yohanci immediately worked to get it sorted out and fixed within a few days, showing a commitment to customer satisfaction even after the initial work was done.
- Skilled Workers: The people who replaced the flooring were described as "awesome," suggesting that the contractors they use are highly skilled.
On the other hand, a separate and detailed review paints a much different picture, highlighting a number of severe issues that are important for any potential customer to consider. This review points to a complete breakdown of professionalism and service quality:
- Inconsistent and Sloppy Work: The review claims that workers were unreliable, didn't show up, and when they did, the work was "sloppy." The painting crew was also criticized for being unprepared and inconsistent.
- Lack of Follow-Through: A major issue was the claim that Yohanci never ordered seven doors for the project, despite saying he had, for over two months. This forced the client to pay another company to complete the work.
- Theft and Lack of Accountability: The client alleges that a Rolex watch and other items went missing while only Extreme Clean's workers were in the house, with no resolution.
- Poor Site Management and Safety: The workers were accused of damaging the front lawn, leaving razor blades in a walkway, and failing to clean up, which created a safety hazard.
- Financial and Personal Hardship: The client claims that Yohanci owes them money, and the stress of the situation caused their wife to be hospitalized multiple times with heart problems.
- Insensitive and Unprofessional Behavior: The company allegedly continued to send workers to the property even after being asked for a "time out" due to a son's major surgery, and Yohanci was reportedly happy about new claims from a storm, which made the work on their property slow down.
For those who need to contact Extreme Clean, the phone number is (714) 449-9011, and the mobile phone number is +1 714-449-9011. The company's address is 1390 Titan Way, Brea, CA 92821, USA.
In conclusion, Extreme Clean presents a complex case for locals in California seeking a plumber or general contractor for water damage. Its suitability for a project depends heavily on the specific team and project management involved. The positive review highlights their potential to deliver a high-quality, comprehensive service with excellent communication and a beautiful final result. For a client who needs a full-service restoration and works with a dedicated and effective project manager like the one described, Extreme Clean could be a perfect fit. However, the negative review reveals serious concerns regarding the consistency of work, reliability of staff, site safety, and overall business ethics. These issues, including allegations of theft and financial disputes, are significant red flags that any potential customer must take into account. For locals, it is crucial to conduct thorough due diligence, get multiple quotes, and have a clear, written contract with specific timelines. The contradictory nature of the reviews makes it clear that while some projects may be a success, others could lead to major problems.

My water heater broke and flooded my condo. I was so stressed. Yohanci did a great job helping get everything cleaned and repaired. He organized all the work and dealt with my insurance company. Their people who replaced my flooring were awesome! There was one problem with the new baseboards their guys installed. I called Yohanci and he immediately worked to get it all sorted out and fixed within a few days. It took a little while to get the whole project completely done but was totally worth it. My place looks SO amazing!!!!! It feels like something I’d see in a magazine!
Jan 15, 2020 · Carrie GibersonAbsolutely the Worst...Had major damage from a water line breaking upstairs. When the insurance company came to evaluate the situation they had Yohanci due the work , that was a mistake. Things started well , but soon went downhill. Workers wouldn't show up and when they did it was sloppy work. The painters ; never the same one's ; the were unprepared. One was only in the house 20 minutes , left never to be seen again. There were 7 doors that had to be replaced. Yohanci kept saying he ordered them. After 2 months Yohanci was told by the Arbitrator to do something or lose his contractors license. He had never ordered them , we had to pay someone else to replace the doors. During the time his labor's were working on the upstairs bathroom my Rolex watch went missing alone with several other items. His workers never seen again and only his workers in the house. His people damaged the front lawn and did nothing to clean up. Left razor blades where people could step on them. I had to bring in a handyman to fix Yohanci"s sloppy defective work. Yohanci owes me money and will not pay up.As per the insurance company I have been working with contractor connection to settle the situation. They have not been able to resolve the situation. Also the stress that was put on my wife had caused heart problems, hospitalized 3 times. And when our son had a major surgery we ask for a time out . His workers kept showing up. Also during this time there was a major storm , and Yohanci was very happy because the insurance company had over 100 new claims , that is when the work on our property slowed down to nothing. Hope Yohanci enjoys small claims court. Had to put one star so it would post, but he gets no stars!!!!!!
Jun 27, 2018 · KAREN HALEYWorking with Extreme Clean is not like working with other water damage/restoration companies. They are at a different level. When you deal with them you are dealing with people that want to handle the issue, get it resolved and get your home back to normal as soon as possible. Usually the reconstruction part of it is challenging but Yohanci and his team make it look like there was no damage. I come in the asbestos abatement industry and working with Yohanci, Sanja, Jason and Brian is a true team effort. Everyone just wants to do a great job. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
Oct 22, 2019 · David LongDue to their ignorance and inability to write an accurate estimate and having to battle with them through my insurance company to get extreme clean to write an accurate estimate for the charges being billed. They just decided to try and sue me for the amount do .Instead of producing a line item detailed list of charges so the insurance company could issue payment.Ps . Don't let them in your house call someone else. Be careful they'll load your house up with a bunch of dryers just to bill your insurance company for more money .
