What is Worth Choosing
Choosing a contractor for a major property disaster is a decision that requires careful consideration. On one hand, Best Option Restoration, as a national franchise, brings the promise of standardized protocols, IICRC-certified expertise, and the resources to handle various types of property damage, from water and mold to fire and storm. Their advertised model of 24/7 emergency response, direct insurance billing, and end-to-end service, from cleanup to final reconstruction, is designed to be a significant advantage for customers in distress, offering a streamlined path to property recovery. For residents of Florida who are constantly at risk of weather-related emergencies, the speed and scope of service are key considerations.
However, prospective customers must also be fully aware of available customer experiences. Public feedback, including provided testimonials, raises serious concerns regarding business practices at this specific location, particularly relating to project communication, delays, and, most critically, the payment of subcontractors. Reports alleging a "lack of communication," being "full of excuses," and contractors not being paid when promised suggest potential operational and ethical issues that could severely impact the homeowner's or business owner's restoration timeline and overall satisfaction. When a general contractor subcontracts work, a breakdown in payments can lead to liens being placed on the homeowner's property, creating a significant legal and financial risk for the customer.
Therefore, while the services offered by the Best Option Restoration franchise model are broad and necessary for disaster recovery, Floridians considering this specific branch should approach with caution. It is imperative to perform comprehensive background checks on the local operator, including verifying all current licensing and insurance, thoroughly reviewing the terms of all contracts before signing, and seeking multiple quotes from different, reputable, and locally-vetted contractors. In a high-risk state like Florida, where reliable service is paramount, transparent communication, prompt completion, and sound business ethics should be the absolute minimum requirements for any general contractor selected for home or business restoration. Consulting with your insurance carrier for a list of trusted, local contractors and requesting recent, verifiable customer and subcontractor references are strongly recommended steps before engaging in any agreement with this or any other restoration firm.

Best Option Restoration of Baldwin County Reviews
Horrible company lack of communication. Full of excuses won’t pay their contractors when they say they will . Not trustworthy at all and they promise homeowners things on jobs that they mess up or can’t finish. Best thing is to stay away this is a clown show operation . Hire a real contractor and save yourself the headache of using them ask your insurance for a local contractor to do the work. Unfortunately if they don’t pay today we will be filing a suit with our lawyer .
Jun 06, 2025 · Nathan StumpSubcontracts out but doesn’t pay the people who actually does the work. I see we aren’t the only ones either from another review I’ve seen on here. The ones giving a five star must be family or employees cause I’ve only heard horrible things about how customers have been waiting over a year to get things fixed etc. Not a good thing not to pay the people that could make you more money but oh well guess they want legal trouble. Best advice find an actual professional that will get the job done
Jun 06, 2025 · Miranda StumpThis company does not care about their customers or the quality of their work at all-only about getting paid. We hired them to help us find a leak due to an elevated water bill. They could not locate the leak and recommended that we might have to replumb our entire warehouse or tear up the huge concrete slab. After hiring another plumber for a second opinion, that plumber discovered that we simply had a running toilet. Had we not hired and paid a different company for the same service, we would have had tens of thousands of dollars in unnecessary expense. A lady called to discuss the bill and was very ugly on the phone. We didn't feel that we should have to pay their $300 service call fee since they did not locate the problem and we had to hire someone else to do the job. I asked her if she felt good about asking us to pay the bill, and she said that she "didn't bring feelings into her job." I told her that we would pay the bill in full but definitely would not be calling them back or recommending the company. I can't imagine that this company would be able to continue in business very long with this type of very poor work and customer service. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND CALL SOMEONE ELSE!
Jan 13, 2025 · Julie AchimonThis company is a "pro-customer" company. They really strive to keep as much stress off of the customer as possible during the process. Dealing with insurance is NEVER an easy thing to do and they have a team that is experienced and knowledgeable in that area and handles everything with care while focusing on the customer. I will recommend this company to everyone who is going through an insurance claim and needs an honest and hard working restoration contractor.
Nov 19, 2024 · Marilyn RobertsDoes not pay their contractors when they say they will . They leave customers waiting and waiting to get completed . Poor communication and promises that are not met I would give this company a zero the owner is very unprofessional and can’t reach him when needed . I don’t see this company being around very long doing things the way they do . They need to hire real professionals or take classes .
