ATI Restoration Introduce
For residents and business owners in Texas, finding a reliable general contractor is crucial for everything from home renovations to disaster recovery. When damage from water, fire, or a storm strikes, the need for a professional and trustworthy company becomes even more urgent. This article provides a detailed look at ATI Restoration, a company located in Plano, Texas. As a local business, they serve the North Texas area, offering a range of services designed to help property owners restore their homes and businesses.
ATI Restoration is a national brand with a local presence, providing services in the complex and demanding field of property restoration. Their work typically involves responding to emergencies, mitigating damage, and then performing the necessary repairs and reconstruction to return a property to its pre-loss condition. For homeowners and business owners, selecting a general contractor for such critical work requires careful consideration of their reputation, service quality, and customer communication.
However, based on reviews from real customers, it is essential to approach ATI Restoration with a clear understanding of the potential challenges that may arise. One customer reported a highly frustrating experience with a flooring replacement project, citing issues with pricing discrepancies, poor quality of work, and a lack of transparency. The customer mentioned that the final bill was "significantly more than what was agreed upon," with no communication about the changes. The review also highlighted "sloppy" installation and a project timeline that was unnecessarily long due to workers taking extended breaks and showing up late. Another major concern raised was the use of low-wage, "illegal status" workers, which the customer felt contributed to the poor quality of the work.
Another review focused on a different set of problems, primarily concerning communication, billing, and customer service. This customer stated there were "tons of issues with how they bill, their complete lack of communication, lack of responsiveness," and even "bullying tactics" from the company. The customer detailed how they received an invoice for a completed job a full month after the work was done, which was contrary to the terms of the contract. Despite proactive attempts to contact the billing department, they received no response, and the issue escalated to a demand letter from legal counsel threatening a lien on the property. This customer's experience suggests a significant disconnect between different departments within the company and a general lack of responsiveness to client concerns.
These detailed accounts from customers provide a crucial perspective for anyone in the Plano area considering ATI Restoration for their next project. This guide will provide a factual overview of the company, its location, and its services, with a specific focus on helping locals make a well-informed and cautious decision.
Location and Accessibility
ATI Restoration is located at 1004 N Ave #150, Plano, TX 75074, USA. This location in Plano places them in a prime position to serve a large part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Their address in a major suburban city like Plano suggests they are an accessible option for residents and businesses in the area, including neighboring cities such as Frisco, Allen, and McKinney.
For a company that deals with emergency restoration services, a strategic location is vital for a quick response time. Their presence in Plano allows them to efficiently dispatch teams to different parts of the region to address urgent situations such as water or fire damage. While the address serves as their operational base, their service is mobile, with crews traveling directly to the client's property to perform the work.
Services Offered
As a general contractor specializing in restoration, ATI Restoration offers a variety of services designed to address property damage from a range of sources. Their work involves both the initial emergency mitigation and the subsequent reconstruction phases. Their services are typically needed after an unexpected event has occurred, causing significant damage to a property.
Here is a list of the primary services they are known to offer:
- Water Damage Restoration: They provide services to handle all types of water damage, including water extraction, structural drying, and dehumidification to prevent mold growth. This service is crucial for homes and businesses affected by plumbing leaks, overflows, or flooding.
- Fire and Smoke Damage Restoration: After a fire, they work to clean and restore the property. This includes removing soot and smoke residue, deodorizing the space, and repairing or rebuilding fire-damaged structures and materials.
- Mold Remediation: When mold is discovered, they offer services to contain and remove it. Their process typically involves identifying the source of the moisture, safely removing the mold, and then cleaning and treating the affected areas to prevent future growth.
- Storm Damage Repair: In Texas, severe weather is a frequent occurrence. ATI Restoration is equipped to handle damage from storms, including wind and hail damage, providing services to repair roofs, siding, and other structural components.
- Content and Document Restoration: They also offer specialized services for restoring personal belongings and important documents that have been damaged by water, fire, or smoke.
- General Reconstruction: Following the mitigation phase, they act as a general contractor to rebuild and restore the property. This includes everything from replacing flooring and drywall to more extensive structural repairs.
Features / Highlights
When evaluating a general contractor, it is important to look at both their stated features and the reality of customer experiences. While ATI Restoration positions itself as a professional restoration company, the reviews provide a different perspective on some of their key operational aspects.
- Wide Range of Services: A key feature is their ability to handle various types of property damage, from water and fire to mold and storms. This allows them to serve as a one-stop-shop for many restoration needs.
- Emergency Response: As a restoration company, they offer services for urgent situations, which is a vital feature for homeowners facing a crisis. However, the reviews do not provide information on the effectiveness of their emergency response.
- Lack of Communication: A recurring and significant issue highlighted in multiple reviews is the "absolutely horrendous customer communication" and "lack of responsiveness." Customers report that ATI failed to keep them updated on project progress and costs, leading to frustration and unexpected billing.
- Questionable Billing Practices: The reviews strongly suggest a lack of transparency and a disregard for contractual terms regarding pricing and payment. One customer was charged "significantly more than what was agreed upon," while another received a late invoice that was inconsistent with the contract's payment schedule.
- Inconsistent Work Quality: The quality of work is also a point of concern. One customer described their new floor installation as "sloppy, with multiple noticeable flaws and uneven surfaces," which they attributed to the workers' lack of pride in their job.
- Delayed Timelines: Project delays caused by late arrivals and long breaks by the workers were a source of "unnecessary inconvenience and disruption" for a customer.

Conclusion: Why this place is suitable for locals
For residents of Plano and the surrounding North Texas area, the decision to hire a general contractor for restoration work is a significant one. While ATI Restoration has a physical presence and a brand name, the suitability of this company for locals is highly dependent on individual expectations and the type of project.
On one hand, the company does offer a broad spectrum of services that are essential for dealing with property damage in a state like Texas, where storms and other disasters are common. Their existence as a local option for water, fire, and mold restoration means that residents have a potential service provider for these critical needs.
On the other hand, the detailed negative reviews paint a picture of a company with significant operational and customer service issues. The recurring themes of poor communication, billing discrepancies, and inconsistent work quality are serious red flags for any homeowner. The risk of being overcharged, having a project delayed, or having to deal with unresponsive customer service could make an already stressful situation even more difficult.
In conclusion, while ATI Restoration in Plano offers necessary services for the local community, it is crucial for potential clients to proceed with caution. Locals should be prepared to be highly proactive in their communication, demand clear and detailed contracts with fixed pricing, and perhaps be ready to micromanage the project to ensure a satisfactory outcome. Based on the provided customer experiences, a potential client should carefully weigh the risks and consider exploring other options to avoid the "headaches" and "disappointment" that other Texans have reported.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Disappointed with ATI's service and pricing!I recently had an unpleasant experience with ATI when I hired them to replace the flooring in my home. Initially, they provided me with a quote that seemed reasonable. However, upon completion of the project, they charged me significantly more than what was agreed upon in the initial agreement. Not only did ATI fail to communicate any changes in pricing throughout the process, but the quality of their work also left much to be desired. The floor installation was sloppy, with multiple noticeable flaws and uneven surfaces. Additionally, the project took much longer than anticipated, causing unnecessary inconvenience and disruption to my daily routine. During multiple occasions, the workers would show up very late and take hours of breaks during the day, which caused the job to take a lot longer than expected.I had several conversations with the workers who did were used due to their illegal status in the country. These workers were paid low wages.I reached out to ATI regarding the discrepancies in pricing, but their customer service was unhelpful and unresponsive. They showed no willingness to rectify the situation or address my concerns.I strongly advise against using ATI for any flooring projects. Their lack of transparency, poor quality of work, and disregard for customer satisfaction are extremely disheartening. I regret choosing them and hope that others can learn from my unfortunate experience. Please look for another company to replace your floor if you don’t want any headaches.
Aug 28, 2023 · AliAbsolutely horrendous customer communication, terrible customer service, late and opaque billing outside the terms of the actual contract, bullying tactics, and a company where every internal department is clueless as to what the other departments are doing and have told the customer. No issues with the work they did but tons of issues with how they bill, their complete lack of communication, lack of responsiveness to my inquiries and concerns, and then bullying tactics. The contract states that payment shall be made "as the work progresses" with the final amount collected "when the emergency services are complete" but they did not communicate with me at all once work started about the cost or even about the progress of the work. They set up their water mitigation equipment and then a few days later said it was complete and they would come retrieve their equipment. Then I did not hear anything until a full month later when I got an invoice for $1,987. The contract I signed actually had the fixed price line checked but there was no amount there. Instead they told me they would keep me updated during the project, which they did not do.If money was due "when the services are complete" then that should have been communicated at the time services were deemed complete. To send an invoice for money above and beyond what the contract said a full month after the completion of work is actually against the contract as the contract stated "the entire balance (if any), including any and all amounts for additional Work authorized in any and all Change Orders, is due within 10 days after Substantial Completion, as defined below, of the Work or Client’s receipt of ATI’s invoice, whichever is earlier."Even worse, I proactively tried contacting ATI's invoice and billing department via email and never got a response. I also spent 10 days calling them before finally getting a response and that was simply to refer it back to the local office. The local office then failed to communicate properly. Finally, 3 months later I get a demand letter from their legal counsel threatening to place a lien on my residence if I didn't pay within 14 days. I again reach out to different people at ATI but the local office claimed to not be aware of any of my previous emails or concerns and then threatened to place a lien if I didn't pay within 48 hours. This was quite an escalation above what their own legal counsel said.ATI repeatedly failed to communicate, rarely replied to emails, and each person & department claimed that they couldn't do anything and that it was up to another department.
Apr 09, 2025 · Andrew ArmstrongWe had a great experience with ATI and specifically Allen Brush. He was such a great help and very knowledgeable. Our home flooded and he helped to get it repaired and back normally quickly. Would highly recommend.
Apr 10, 2025 · Jamie & Kyle KerkvlietATI restoration has been a godsend for me. They completely rebuilt my house in 2021 after a flood that resulted from frozen water pipes bursting during the TX power grid failure in Feb of that year coupled with unusually cold temperatures. ATI again came to the rescue in 2024 when my house was hit by lightning and consumed by fire. In both instances ATI performed a complete restoration for me and in 2021 a nearly complete rebuild of my house. In 2024 I chose not to rebuild, but if I had, it would have been with ATI. They are a professional organization from top to bottom and I could not recommend them more enthusiastically.
Apr 11, 2025 · Dan FlynnWhat a wonderful experience from Tyler and his crew. The job was done professionally quickly and met all my needs. I appreciate this team. I would definitely recommend them again in the future thank you so much for the excellent work
