What is worth choosing - A Factual Assessment of Public Feedback
When selecting a general contractor in Washington, the most crucial factor is not the mere existence of a service list, but the demonstrable history of successful project completion, professional communication, and ethical business practices. In the case of All Dry, a detailed look at publicly available customer reviews reveals significant and repeated concerns that potential customers in the Washington region must carefully consider before engagement. These reviews constitute essential factual information for an informed decision.
Key concerns highlighted by multiple customers include, but are not limited to:
- Project Abandonment and Incompletion: Several reports state that the company accepted significant payment (up to 90% of the contract) but abandoned projects, leaving them unfinished after months of delays (e.g., a 4-6 week job stretched to 6 months and then abandoned).
- Non-Payment of Subcontractors: Allegations exist that the company left subcontractors unpaid, potentially exposing homeowners to threats of a lien from the unpaid parties, forcing the customer to take on additional financial burdens.
- Severe Communication Failure: Customers cite consistent failure by the owner to meet commitments, a complete lack of attention to detail, and eventually, refusal to communicate (including blocking phone numbers).
- Substandard Workmanship and Property Disregard: Detailed complaints include property left unsecured, failure to protect utilities and personal property from construction debris, incorrect measurements and installations, improper framing, live junction boxes left behind walls, and issues ranging from incomplete securing of egress windows to construction debris left in the yard.
- Financial and Legal Concerns: One review specifically mentions investigating a claim against the company’s bond, only to find that claims against the bond exceeded its total value, a serious warning sign for potential future clients seeking financial recourse.
In summary, while All Dry is located in Woodinville, WA, and advertises a comprehensive suite of emergency restoration and building repair services, the public record of customer experiences—which is the most factual measure of a contractor’s reliability—presents severe warnings about project management, financial integrity, and quality of work. For any Washington user evaluating All Dry for a general contractor need, it is paramount to weigh the advertised services against the factual, detailed accounts of dissatisfaction, non-completion, and alleged financial irregularities from past clients. A responsible decision requires a full appreciation of both the business's location and service list, and its verified track record of delivery and conduct.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1BEWARE! This is a zero star review. Do not hire All Dry.Summary: We have paid 90% of the contract yet they did not finish our job, have left unpaid sub contractors (that I have to pay now), and refuse to communicate. Our job (based on their quotes) should have taken 4-6 weeks. We are now almost 6 months in and they have fully abandoned the project in an unfinished state, despite walking away with 90% of the payment.Details:-Christian consistently makes commitments ("We will be there on Tuesday to finish X" ) and consistently does not meet those commitments.-He ran out of flooring material in mid July. We needed to pause work and agreed to pick it up in early August when we were back from vacation and family visiting.-In August he made several promises of dates they would return to finish the work. No one ever arrived.-Suspecting we were being strung along, I contacted the sub contractor who had been installing the flooring. It turned out that not only had Christian not contacted him to schedule finishing the work, but he also has not paid the sub contractor and now I am looking at paying more under threat of a lien.-Further, I contacted the flooring supply company that the original flooring was ordered from and found out that Christian has not placed an order for more flooring.-Now Christian has blocked my phone number and will not respond to any form of communication.I have looked into filing a claim against All Dry's bond only to find that he has more claims against his bond this year than the bond's value.BEWARE!
Sep 12, 2025 · John NangleI'm writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the services provided by AllDry, and specifically its owner, Christian Barrette. Communication was consistently poor, and Christian frequently failed to meet his commitments. He demonstrated a complete lack of attention to detail and, most importantly, a disregard for my project and property. His lack of involvement forced me to take on project management responsibilities.Furthermore, the workmanship was substandard. I encountered numerous problems, including:* Incorrect spelling of my name on project documents, despite repeated requests for correction.* Incorrect measurements for cabinets, which I had to identify and rectify.* Incorrect identification of setbacks for door hardware, which I also had to correct.* Property left unsecured on multiple occasions.* Subcontractors defecating on the property.* Failure to protect the utility room and HVAC equipment from construction debris, despite multiple requests.* Failure to protect cabinets, which I ended up doing myself.* Incomplete securing of the egress window, leaving it vulnerable to rodents.* Construction debris and materials left in my yard, which I had to clean up.* Improper framing in remodeled areas.* Live junction boxes left behind walls.* Failure to seal floor cracks as promised.* Failure to protect the cistern drinking water from dust and debris.Due to these persistent and serious issues, I terminated my contract with AllDry midway through the project. I strongly advise against hiring this company. I would be happy to provide supporting documentation, including emails, texts, photos, and videos, upon request. Also, note that several of the reviews that are 5 stars are from employees. Alldry is even worse than it appears.
Jan 25, 2025 · Jason GasbarraZero Star Review-Christian at All Dry Restoration did not pay for the plumbing services he hired us to perform for one of his customers. He would not answer or return calls for payment for over 75 days. The homeowner ultimately had to pay us directly for the principal amount and all late charges incurred to avoid a lien placed on their property.Homeowners beware!!It is ultimately your responsibility for whom you hire to work on your home. When paying for any work- always write two-party (joint) checks to the general contractor and subcontractor. This protects against unpaid subcontractors or suppliers, and ensures your funds are being used as intended.
Jun 04, 2025 · William SnowOur basement flooded on Christmas Day and the damage was much greater than we originally thought. We followed our usual practice of talking to a number of contractors to gather information on pricing etc. My advice would be, don't bother with this step and go directly to All Dry. We did select them and are glad we did. They were professional, detailed, and transparent about costs. They persisted with an insurance agent when I think others might thrown up their hands. Every All Dry person we dealt with was helpful and committed to getting the job done the way we requested. They were easy to work with and use contractors that are also easy to work with. They have long term relationships with their contractors and that ensured quality work from each of them. These contractors are the ones in your home so it really matters that they are easy to work with. In conclusion, we are very happy with our outcome and the choice of All Dry to do the work. mow
Mar 22, 2025 · Merry WatsonAbsolutely horrible. I did some jobs for Christian to fix the roof of a house that he supposedly “had ownership of and is the housekeeper.” After a few weeks after the job was finished he said he would give me a check a day or 2 after replacing his roof! 2 weeks later I didn’t get a check in the mail or in my gmail! This horrible JOBLESS man wouldn’t even decide to give me compensation for restoring his old crusty musty eye wrenching jaw dropping broken roof! If you are working for him as of right now, CANCEL ANY JOBS OR ANYTHING THAT YOU HAVE ASSOCIATED WITH HIM. His wife at his office wouldn’t even let me inside! Thankfully I recorded the whole thing and job. You will be hearing from my lawyer.
