What is Worth Choosing
Choosing a property restoration contractor in the wake of an emergency in Virginia requires careful consideration, and several factors make this Sterling-based general contractor a noteworthy option. The single biggest benefit is the promise of a complete, start-to-finish service. Homeowners in the region who have experienced significant damage from burst pipes or flooding will appreciate having a contractor who can manage every step—from water extraction and drying to mold abatement, plumbing repair, and final reconstruction like installing new floors and painting walls. This holistic approach can significantly reduce the overall project timeline and the stress of dealing with a crisis.
The business’s identity as a veteran-owned company often resonates with clients who value military standards of diligence, punctuality, and a strong sense of mission. For those who prioritize businesses with a clear and proactive stance on community values, the fact that the company is LGBTQ+ friendly and a transgender safespace provides an added layer of comfort and trust, assuring clients of a respectful and professional interaction regardless of their background.
However, as in any service industry, customer reviews paint a mixed picture, and due diligence is always recommended. Some clients have reported very positive experiences, praising the crew for being professional, friendly, punctual, and hardworking, with one noting they "took care of every step" from mitigation to a complete new floor installation after a hot water heater broke. Other reports highlight serious concerns with communication, inflated estimates, and disputes over deposits and unfinished work. It is essential for prospective clients in Virginia to request detailed, itemized contracts, a clear payment schedule tied to project milestones, and to understand Virginia's contractor deposit guidelines before committing. The positive resolution of a deposit dispute involving the DC Office of the Attorney General, as noted in a review update, suggests a path for recourse, but careful screening upfront remains the best practice.
Ultimately, the commitment to offering full restoration—handling water, fire, and mold alongside structural and cosmetic repairs—makes this Sterling contractor an appealing and comprehensive choice for homeowners in Northern Virginia facing a property disaster. By focusing on detailed contracts and clear project communication from the start, local clients can leverage the full range of services offered by this committed, veteran-owned general contractor.

Sterling Reviews
We had Flood Crew out after hot water heater broke. Bill and his crew were great! From the water remediation to installing a whole new floor in the basement, the crew took care of every step. These were professional, friendly, punctual and are some of the hardest working guys I’ve ever seen! And they don’t play around, they get the job done. I recommend them to anyone needing this type of work done. Thanks a million, Bill & crew! 😊👍🏻
Apr 28, 2024 · J schiponoBill Martins stole my deposit, did none of the contracted work, and is now avoiding me.It was all good with Bill until about 24 hours before my work project was set to begin earlier this month when Bill called to push me off to a subcontractor. When I engaged with this subcontractor, I also learned that Bill inflated my estimate to the tune of $2,000 over the project's actual cost. When this information was spilled to me by his subcontractor, the guy called Bill with me on the phone to discuss these money matters -- Bill appeared angry at being exposed for his inflated estimates and ended the call abruptly. Bill then called me back to say I had to pay his estimated price "no matter what the subcontractor told me" and that he would not transfer my deposit to the subcontractor because "he had been talking to me for months." As I could not be thrown off my work schedule, I worked with the subcontractor to keep the work on track.Bill never showed up at my worksite and has refused to return my phone calls and messages requesting that he return my deposit. At this point, I have no choice but to seek legal recourse.ReviewUpdate (4/3/24): Following intervention from the DC Office of the Attorney General, Bill Martins returned my full deposit. This update reflects that new development.

Jun 01, 2021 · Paula LawleyFlood Crew’s estimate wasn’t the cheapest but I felt good at choosing them after they came to my property, did a full inspection of the areas, educated us, and provided us an estimate. They are pros at what they do and it shows.
