Smith and Ramirez Roofing did work in a highly professional capacity to replace my roof. Alex Ramirez personally discussed details related to the project on multiple occasions. Alex and his office staff were routinely accessible and worked to be sure everything was correct before ordering materials. Alex worked with the insurance company on my behalf and allowed me to get the most beneficial settlement for unexpected issues. His knowledge and experience were apparent to the point that even the insurance adjuster commented that the completed roof, was the best he had ever seen in his eleven years of work. The roofers who completed the project were professional, fast, and cleaned daily. Each team member was employed by the company for a decade and took pride in their work. No concern was ignored and as issues came up, Alex routinely communicated with the insurance company. I give this company five stars. My roof is beautiful, built to code and solidly done. After a frustrating experience with a contractor who blamed a paint crack on the soffit for a water leak, I decided to find a reputable roofing company for an assessment. Smith and Ramirez came highly recommended, with great reviews, so I reached out to schedule an appointment. Brittany came out right away to inspect the roof. As soon as she arrived, she told me she could tell just by driving up that we had hail damage. She walked me through how to spot the signs of hail damage and suggested I contact my insurance company to see if they'd cover the repairs.It took about two months for the insurance company to finalize their assessment, but in the end, they confirmed they'd cover the repairs. Brittany and the team at Smith and Ramirez took care of everything: roof replacement, fascia painting, and replacing some damaged screens—all covered by insurance. Brittany had told me from the start that there was no leak in the roof, and the adjuster confirmed the same. Once the old shingles were removed, no leaks were found, so Brittany’s initial assessment was spot-on.During the two months I waited for the insurance to finalize things, Brittany kept in touch, explaining that delays are common with insurance companies. She was incredibly knowledgeable, walking me through each step of the process—helping me choose materials, explaining the process, and keeping me updated on the timeline.The crew was fantastic too. They worked in freezing temperatures, but despite the cold, they completed the repairs on time and made sure to keep the site clean each day. Very much appreciated their workmanship and professionalism, and I was really impressed with the entire process. One of the owners also called to ensure I was satisfied and let me know he was heading to my house for a final checkup. Smith & Ramirez Roofing in El Paso, TX, recently did a fantastic job on my roof. Brady Wolfe was my main point of contact, and he was incredibly responsive and communicative throughout the entire process. Ally also played a significant role and was very helpful.I had a pretty rough start to the year when my roof lost several shingles in January due to high wind storms. It looked terrible, and I realized I had no idea when the roof was last replaced, even though I’ve been living in my home for five years. Brady came to the rescue with dozens of options and presented them in such a professional manner. I decided to go with Timberline HDZ shingles, new piping boots, and metal overhangs. They ended up replacing the entire roof, and because my house was built in the 1930s, there were quite a few code upgrades that needed to be made. The whole project took about a week.I found Smith & Ramirez Roofing after getting 5-6 quotes from other companies. Each one fell short for various reasons – some were too pushy, others weren’t professional, and some didn’t even provide a quote. Smith & Ramirez, however, stood out with their professionalism. They showed up in uniform, had beautiful brochures, and their Instagram is full of videos showcasing their recent work.The roofing crew was friendly and professional, always making cleanliness a priority. They constantly cleaned up nails and dropped shingles, which I really appreciated. The Timberline HDZ shingles have a 50-year warranty and look absolutely stunning. They definitely upgraded the whole look of my house.The crew also had to fix the pitch on a big part of my roof and added wood boards throughout because the old roof was in such poor condition. Their customer service was top-notch, and they were very patient with me as I arranged the loan to pay for the final portion of the invoice.During their time working on my roof, I made sure to show my appreciation by buying pizza for the crew a few times and providing Gatorades and water. They seemed to appreciate it, and it was nice to support them while they worked hard on my roof.I would definitely recommend Smith & Ramirez for their professionalism and quality. While there are a few things that could be improved, overall, they did a phenomenal job. If I ever need a new roof on any investment properties, I'll certainly use them again. Plus, they provide a customer portal with all the photos and documents you could ever need for insurance or your own records.Smith & Ramirez Roofing did an outstanding job from start to finish. Their commitment to quality, professionalism, and customer satisfaction truly sets them apart. If you need roofing services, I highly recommend giving them a call.EDIT: Original review had " it would be helpful if they had someone on staff dedicated to working with the insurance company for payments and supplements, so I wouldn’t have to handle everything myself." And it turns out my insurance policy is an "ACV" policy with a lot of limits on what can and can't be done. Despite this, S&R has been working with the local adjuster to get additional supplements paid on necessary additional work done.
