May 19, 2025 · Emily MitchellServpro treats demolition (to get to the root cause of the problem) and reconstruction (to put everything back together) as two different companies. The 3-14-25 hail storms that came though STL caused some minor water damage around certain windows. Servpro was recommended by my general contractor and they also deal with directly with State Farm, so we decided to go with them. The demo crew was friendly, timely and removed the damaged areas with no complaints. They called before they came, laid down material to not get the house dirty, and was overall very professional. Thennnnnnn it all went downhill. I incorrectly assumed they would be calling me to come reconstruct (drywall, mudding, paint, trim) but weeks went by and I ended up calling them. I traded emails to get it scheduled and I had to have an assessment done for the damage. I know, sounds dumb right? They were just here and tore it apart so you'd think they would know what has to be done to fix it. Anyway, that appt. was scheduled two weeks out. I took off work to be here from the 9-11 am window. Unlike the demo crew, no one called. I started to question if I had the right day and I called them. This is where the excuses started. A project manager had quit and was creating a delay in things. I get it, things happen. But why not call and just tell me they couldn't make it. Instead, they kept blaming a subcontractor (Mike) and how he was now busy and couldn't keep up. I was told I would be called shortly to figure this out. Again, no call back so I called again. Again, still trying to figure things out with Mike, blaming it on a subcontractor. Again, no call back. The next day I called and same old story. Mike was busy with other people. All the meanwhile, I was told I was "4th in line of 20 people", "call right back", was "at the top of the list". Mind you, this was a day after they were supposed to show up for an appt. that was scheduled 2 weeks ahead of time. I ended up getting an email saying they they couldn't keep up and would no longer be interested in the work. It was the worst customer service I've ever experienced and I will never use any Servpro ever again. I never got an apology over the phone, it was always blaming Mike the subcontractor. After all of it's said and done, I don't even know if they were using a subcontractor with the story always changing. But I do know one thing, ServPro is the name on the front of the building and they weren't acting like it.Edit: It's now been one week since the owner's response below. They have all my contact information and have yet to reach out to me to make it right. I've wasted enough time on the phone, and off work, to attempt to correct their negligence. Again, this only reiterates the lack of any customer satisfaction on their part.

When they were finished there was no sign of dust what so ever. These girls are amazing. They were so pleasant and could be trusted. I had to leave while they were here and was totally comfortable doing so. Wonderful experience! Servpro helped lead me in the right direction with my insurance company. I appreciated them being so attentive.
