Royal Plus Disaster Cleanup Introduce
Introduction / Overview
In a state like Florida, where property is constantly exposed to the risks of hurricanes, high humidity, and unexpected weather events, the need for a reliable, full-service general contractor specializing in disaster restoration is paramount. Royal Plus Disaster Cleanup is a company that positions itself as a nationwide disaster recovery expert with a dedicated local presence in Florida, aiming to be the singular call property owners need to make when a catastrophe strikes. In business for over 40 years, Royal Plus is registered as a General Contractor, Home Improvement Contractor, and holds occupational licenses across nearly all of the contiguous 40 states, bringing a wealth of experience and national resources to local Florida clients.
The company focuses on relieving the stress and uncertainty that follow a disaster, whether it's a small water leak or a large-scale catastrophe. They offer a 24/7 emergency response to mitigate damage from natural and man-made causes, including wind, water, fire, and mold. Their goal is to efficiently provide the necessary cleanup, restoration, and reconstruction services to "turn life back on" for both commercial and residential customers. They emphasize their team of certified and trained specialists—including Professional Restorers, Fire Damage Specialists, Water Loss Specialists, and Mold Remediation Specialists—who are ready to mobilize quickly.
However, it is crucial for local users to conduct thorough due diligence, as the provided customer reviews indicate significant reported challenges regarding project management, communication, and quality of work. Customers have noted instances of poor project oversight, the use of purportedly "pathetic" subcontractors, and communication issues leading to project delays and eventual cancellation by the company, leaving clients with unfinished work. This conflicting information—between the company's advertised nationwide expertise and the direct, negative customer experiences regarding service delivery in the local area—underscores the importance of vetting local management and communication practices before engaging their services, particularly for complex reconstruction projects.
Location and Accessibility
Royal Plus Disaster Cleanup maintains a local office in Orange Park, strategically located to serve the greater Jacksonville and Northeast Florida region, allowing for rapid deployment of emergency services in a critical coastal area. Their main local facility is:
Address: 569 Blanding Blvd, Orange Park, FL 32073, USA
This location ensures accessibility to Clay County and the surrounding areas, which often face direct impacts from tropical systems and severe storms. The Orange Park office acts as a local hub, backed by larger facilities in the state (such as their Winter Springs, FL, location) and nationwide resources. The primary method of contact for both emergencies and general inquiries is their toll-free 24-hour hotline, emphasizing their commitment to a swift initial response, which is crucial for mitigating time-sensitive damage like water intrusion and subsequent mold growth.

Features / Highlights
The company promotes several key features intended to assure clients of their capability and professionalism, though potential clients are advised to balance these claims with the documented experiences of local customers:

What is Worth Choosing
When selecting a general contractor for disaster cleanup and restoration in Florida, the choice should weigh professional capabilities against reliable service delivery. Royal Plus Disaster Cleanup is worth considering for their advertised robust technical capacity, especially their 24/7/365 immediate response and their national-level resources for major catastrophe and large loss situations—a clear benefit in hurricane-prone Florida. Their status as a full-service general contractor means they are theoretically equipped to handle the entire chain of recovery, from initial water extraction and structural drying to final reconstruction, which can simplify the process for insurance claims and complex projects.
However, what is equally important to acknowledge is the reported breakdown in service at the local project management level, as evidenced in customer accounts detailing poor communication, reliance on low-quality subcontractors, and the ultimate withdrawal from jobs due to profitability concerns. These local service failures can turn a restoration project into a "months of headaches" scenario, leaving property owners without a functional space and forcing them to seek out other reliable professionals to finish the work. While their certifications and history are strong indicators of potential, local users must insist on clear, contractual commitment to project timelines, quality control over subcontractors, and transparent communication from the assigned project manager to ensure the service matches the company's advertised standard of excellence.

Royal Plus Disaster Cleanup Reviews
Stay away! We had a water leak from our refrigerator water line. We utilized Royal Plus for the clean-up and repairs as they were assigned to us via our home owners insurance. Bert, our Project Manager was nonexistent and was poor at communication. Royal Plus utilized a subcontractor (Roland) for the repairs. Roland's quality of work was pathetic. We actually asked him to leave our house and never come back. This whole experience was a total headache. We kicked Royal Plus off the job as they are not a professional company and received several thousand back from our claim. We hired a real carpenter to finish what Royal Plus and Roland was too inept to complete.Stay far far away and save yourself months of headaches.
May 22, 2025 · David HancockWe had a water leak behind our shower, and our insurance assigned Royal Plus for repairs. Bert Haynes, the Project Manager, casually implied we could use the insurance money however we wanted and suggested we purchase some materials ourselves to save costs. After nearly three months of back-and-forth, we were informed that Royal Plus no longer wanted to do the repairs. Joanne Haver called and stated that because we had purchased some materials for the job, it would hurt their profits. They offered to let us work with their contractors, but wouldn't manage the project themselves. We decided to have them return the insurance money to our insurer, as we no longer wanted to work with them. They returned the funds because they couldn’t complete the job and refunded our deductible. Now, we’re left without a working guest bathroom, and this entire process has been a frustrating waste of time and energy.
May 30, 2025 · Christina McKayProject Manager Bert was very casual and made it sound like we could do anything we wanted with the insurance money from water damage. He also advised that we could help save our costs by purchasing materials our self. His boss didn't feel that way at all. Also it's been several months since the incident and we still don't have the repairs done. They gave the insurance money back because they couldn't do the job. The simple way to describe our experience is, communication was either not there or inaccurate. Then we were made out to be at fault by Royal Plus. Do yourself a favor, find ANYONE else to assist you.UPDATE: Then RPI accused me of making two posts on Google.
May 30, 2025 · mykey mikeyMary was a genuine joy! She hauled a machine 50 times her size into my bathroom to dehumidify some water damage I had from a broken pipe in the wall. She also sealed the area off with heavy plastic. Within one day my entire bathroom area was bone dry. She does an amazing job! She really knows her job!
Mar 27, 2020 · Patricia PeaseShane and Mary with Royal Plus made the daunting task of mold remediation removal, a lot easier.
