Regency DRT Introduce
Welcome to the heart of Florida, where unexpected events can sometimes disrupt life and business. In a state that is no stranger to severe weather and unforeseen property damage, having a trusted partner for disaster recovery is not just a convenience—it's a necessity. This article introduces you to Regency DRT, a recognized name in the general contracting and specialized restoration industry in Florida, dedicated to helping residential and commercial property owners navigate the complex path back to normalcy after a loss.
A "general contractor" in the context of disaster recovery, particularly in Florida, often holds a specialized role that goes far beyond typical remodeling or new construction. While a standard general contractor may handle cosmetic or planned structural renovations, a restoration contractor like Regency DRT is equipped and focused on immediate emergency response, mitigation of damage (like water extraction and drying), cleanup (such as fire and smoke removal), and the full reconstruction necessary to return a property to its pre-loss condition, or even better. Their expertise lies in the entire lifecycle of disaster recovery—from the initial emergency call to the final nail of the rebuild, which often includes coordinating with insurance carriers and navigating the necessary permits and regulations in Florida.
Regency DRT positions itself as a critical service provider for those who have experienced property damage due to water, fire, storms, or other disasters. Operating out of the bustling hub of Orlando, this firm specializes in a comprehensive, full-service approach to restoration and reconstruction. For homeowners and business managers across Florida, the difference between a general contractor and a specialized restoration contractor is crucial; Regency DRT combines the broad construction management skills of a general contractor with the rapid-response expertise of a disaster recovery specialist.
Their core mission is centered on providing prompt, efficient, and high-quality services to minimize disruption and restore properties as quickly as possible. This approach is vital in a region where quick action can prevent secondary damages like mold growth after water intrusion, or further structural compromise following a fire. By offering 24-hour emergency response, they aim to be the first point of contact after a catastrophic event, securing the property and immediately beginning the mitigation process. The complexity of dealing with insurance claims, permits, and the myriad of subcontractors involved in a major rebuild can be overwhelming, which is why a full-service provider like Regency DRT can be an invaluable asset to Florida residents and businesses.
The central location of Regency DRT’s operations in Orlando allows them to efficiently serve a large portion of the central Florida community and beyond, a strategic position vital for providing timely disaster response across the state.
Their primary office is conveniently located and maintains accessibility features important for all clients:
The business is situated at 4201 34th St, Orlando, FL 32811, USA. This accessible location helps facilitate logistics for their extensive disaster response fleet and for clients needing to visit the office for consultations or project coordination.
In terms of accessibility for visitors, the facility is equipped with a wheelchair accessible entrance and a wheelchair accessible parking lot, ensuring that all clients, regardless of mobility requirements, can comfortably access their services when needed.
Regency DRT is dedicated to a wide spectrum of disaster recovery and restoration services for both residential and commercial clients across Florida. Their service portfolio is structured to handle all phases of a property loss, from the initial emergency call to the final rebuilding stage.

Choosing a contractor for a major property loss involves evaluating their capability, accessibility, and operational structure. Regency DRT highlights several key features designed to streamline the recovery process for their Florida clientele:

- Full-Service Restoration Expertise: They provide both the initial damage mitigation (cleanup, drying) and the long-term reconstruction (rebuild, repair), allowing clients to manage the entire recovery through a single point of contact. This "one-stop-shop" model is often preferred as it simplifies project management.
- Insurance Coordination Experience: A significant advantage in the Florida market is their experience in dealing with insurance companies and claims adjusters, which helps streamline the often-complicated claims process from the initial assessment to the final payout.
- Comprehensive Commercial and Residential Focus: Their services are not limited to one property type, offering specialized solutions for both homeowners and large commercial clients, including complex biohazard and disinfection services.
- Convenient Service Options: The company offers service options such as online estimates and onsite services, catering to the needs of modern homeowners and business managers who require efficient and flexible consultation methods.

For Florida property owners facing the aftermath of a disaster, selecting the right general contractor is a weighty decision. The recovery process can be stressful, long, and financially taxing. Choosing a specialized contractor like Regency DRT often comes down to their promise of a complete and integrated recovery experience.
The most significant benefit lies in their capacity to provide Full-Service Restoration—combining emergency mitigation with reconstruction. This seamless transition is intended to eliminate the coordination headaches and potential delays that often occur when two separate companies handle the initial cleanup and the subsequent rebuild. They are set up to be a single point of accountability for the entire project, from the wet demo and drying to the final paint touch-ups.
Furthermore, their emphasis on Disaster-Specific Expertise is critical. Standard general contractors may not possess the specialized equipment (like commercial-grade dehumidifiers or high-tech air scrubbers) or the insurance claim knowledge necessary for a smooth disaster recovery. Regency DRT's focus on fire, water, and storm damage means they are trained in the specific complexities and regulatory requirements of these types of losses in Florida.
Testimonials often reflect the personal impact of their service. One customer, for instance, praised the team's "attention to detail," "care for our home," and the rapid, efficient work on a large-scale project, which made them feel "very personal and like we are not just a number" as they transitioned into the rebuild phase. This highlights the value of having a team that manages the complex process with a personal touch and strong project management, particularly during the emotional stress of being displaced. Their commitment to making the whole process "easily" manageable, including the coordination of the rebuild, is a key selling point for those seeking peace of mind during a traumatic time.
However, it is always recommended that consumers in Florida exercise due diligence, especially after a disaster. Reviewing licenses, obtaining a clear contract, and understanding the payment structure for both clients and subcontractors is a best practice when engaging with any contractor in the region. As with any service provider, mixed experiences exist, including a reported concern from a subcontractor about payment delays. This underscores the need for any property owner to ensure all contractual agreements—whether as a client or a vendor—are transparent and clearly documented before work commences, a vital step in protecting your investment and ensuring a smooth project completion. Ultimately, Regency DRT presents itself as a comprehensive, full-service solution for Florida residents who value 24/7 responsiveness and specialized expertise in navigating disaster recovery from start to finish.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I'm a contractor hired by Regency to do this job. We did all the work as per the photos. the customer was very satisfied. we started this work on 9/2/23 and ended on 13/02/23. to this day we have not received a penny for this work. My finance department contacts Regency accounting every day, they just ignore us. For this reason, I want to leave it on record here for customers and service providers not to trust this company because it is not a serious and responsible company with its commitments. I'm 65 days without being paid for this job. my contract states that I should be paid within 21 days of completing the job. Sorry to bring this up, be careful it doesn't happen to you. Now I'm going to charge the owner of the house for the service provided at his residence.
Apr 19, 2023 · Florida BoxxCan’t say enough good things about Regency DRT…specifically Shane and G along with their team. Storm damage and being displaced is hard, but I have been impressed with the attention to detail, care for our home, and how quickly and efficiently they have worked! They are working a larger scale project in our neighborhood and have made it feel very personal and like we are not just a number. We are now entering rebuild with them and it’s hard to believe how easily the whole process went! Thank y’all!
Dec 14, 2024 · Darren SheltonI contacted John Nunes vice president about this matter and he told me to kick rocks, I showed up to do an evaluation for repair to make right and was told the owner didn’t want me there, literally some tape lines, a few seams showed through drywall, all repairable easily, and did not constitute a non payment of $5000…it was literally dishonest on the Orlando office’s part. I’ve never been contacted and if the owner would like to email me or call me my name is Alan centurion the company is Creative Vision, they also tried not to pay me $1350 for another job I fixed from another contractor, for the Literal boss of one of the insurance companies Brian Lilly, until I contacted him and they made regency pay me promptly via bank transfer the same day, so they were very capable of paying me what’s owed even if they subtracted for repairs. Thank you.
Mar 14, 2024 · Alan CenturionIf I could give a negative star I would. In April I had a leak under my kitchen sink my insurance company Slide Insurance referred me to use regency DRT to do the motor mediation. They came out then sent in someone to do a mold assessment and for over a month I contacted them and they kept saying that they were waiting on my insurance to send a check. All the while, My insurance company told me that they had sent a check over a month ago and that regency DRT cashed it. I then canceled my order with Regency DRT because I don’t trust them anymore. I have been waiting on Regency DRT to send me a check that for over a month now. Every time I call them I get the runaround, they won’t return me or the insurance company’s phone calls. I’m highly disappointed and stressed out. I’m meantime old is growing in my home.
Aug 02, 2023 · Paula SpanglerRegency DRT was the given company through my insurance to repair an upstairs room and my garage. The project is 9 months in and still incomplete. Since initial date they have had a contractor who under quoted the job by 15k. They fired him without notifying my family about the change in our project manager. The new project manager is incapable and strings me along saying the project needs to be paused or he can’t get workers here. I am in constant communication with the VP John Nunes to get anything done at my home. Today at the 9 month time point I still do not have a functioning garage or completed repairs. I have been nice with the company and signed all my checks from insurance ASAP so they had money to pay their subs. My project manager rarely responds via text or call but is able to shake me down to sign a check while I’m in the NICU with my newborn child. I have fought to get any workers at my house but the project manager can meet me at the children’s hospital at the drop of a hat for money. Do whatever you can to avoid this company like the plague.
