Randall's Crawlspace, Foundation, and Structural Repair Introduce
Introduction / Overview
As a homeowner in Virginia, protecting your property's structural integrity, especially its foundation and crawl space, is one of the most important investments you'll make. The moist climate, particularly in the eastern and coastal regions of the Commonwealth, presents unique challenges, often leading to water intrusion, mold growth, and subsequent structural damage. When seeking a general contractor to address these critical issues, it is paramount to conduct thorough due diligence regarding their licensure, reputation, and operational history. This article provides a detailed, factual overview of the services associated with Randall's Crawlspace, Foundation, and Structural Repair, alongside crucial public warnings and reports concerning its status, to help Virginia residents make informed decisions.
The business is primarily known for its focus on resolving complex water and structural issues that plague many homes across Virginia, from Richmond's older properties to the newer developments facing challenging soil conditions. The scope of work traditionally covers comprehensive solutions for both basements and crawl spaces, aiming to secure the foundation against moisture damage and structural failure. However, the information available, including direct public feedback, indicates a need for extreme caution when considering this provider.
Location and Accessibility
The physical address provided for Randall's Crawlspace, Foundation, and Structural Repair is situated in the city of Hopewell, Virginia. Hopewell sits strategically within the Tri-Cities area, making it potentially accessible to homeowners throughout the greater Central Virginia and Richmond metropolitan areas.
The registered address is: 232 S 15th Ave, Hopewell, VA 23860, USA.
However, local reports and customer reviews raise serious concerns about the operational status and physical condition of this location. Direct customer feedback explicitly states that the location appears to be an abandoned building with broken windows, no electric meter, and open doors. This information is critical for any Virginia resident who might attempt to visit the business's physical site or is evaluating the contractor's stability and reliability. A reputable and active business typically maintains a professional and accessible office. The reported state of this location strongly suggests that the business may not be actively operating from this address, if at all.

Features / Highlights
The list of services is extensive, suggesting a contractor with broad ambitions in the field of basement, crawl space, and foundation repair. However, Virginia residents must balance the promised scope of work against the company's documented business practices and legal standing.
Reported Offerings and Potential Customer Warnings
UL
LI>Free Consultation and Estimates: The service list includes both a Free Consultation and Free Estimates, a standard offering in the competitive foundation repair industry designed to attract initial inquiries from homeowners concerned about structural issues. This is a common practice among contractors, allowing for a preliminary assessment of the damage.
LI>Comprehensive Moisture Solutions: The listed services cover a full spectrum of moisture control, including Crawlspace Encapsulation, Basement Waterproofing (interior and exterior), and Basement Mold Removal. These services are crucial for improving indoor air quality and preventing wood rot common in Virginia homes.
LI>Structural and Foundation Expertise: The inclusion of Cracked Foundation Repair, Bowing Basement Wall Repair, and various structural support systems indicates an intent to address severe issues that require engineering-level solutions. This includes repairs for Foundation Settlements and the installation of Foundation Anchors.
LI>Critical Public Warnings: It is imperative for any potential customer to note the severe public warnings provided, which serve as a critical feature of the company's public profile. These include reports of the business license being REVOKED, explicit advice of Buyer Beware and SCAMMERS!!!!!!, and an active legal situation with charges filed for money laundering. These are non-promotional and deeply concerning factual reports that directly contradict the image of a professional, reliable general contractor and should be the primary consideration for Virginia homeowners.
LI>Poor Workmanship Reports: A detailed customer review highlights poor encapsulation job performance, including improper foundation insulation, mold not being removed, and incorrect door installation, resulting in high crawlspace humidity (63% in cold temperatures). This direct evidence of alleged substandard work, combined with a failure to return to the job site as promised, strongly suggests potential issues with service quality and follow-through.

What is worth choosing
In the highly regulated and service-driven field of foundation and structural repair in Virginia, the most important factors for homeowners in choosing a contractor are licensure, a clean legal history, verifiable positive customer reviews, and a clear record of operational stability.
Based on the provided information, the central theme of the public and customer reports regarding Randall's Crawlspace, Foundation, and Structural Repair is a definitive warning against choosing this contractor.
Key Concerns for Virginia Homeowners:
UL
LI>Revoked License: The most significant factual warning is that the business license has been REVOKED. A revoked license means the contractor is legally prohibited from performing services that require a license in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Hiring an unlicensed or illegally operating contractor puts the homeowner at extreme legal and financial risk, including voiding home insurance policies for work performed.
LI>Legal and Financial Allegations: The severe allegations, including claims of money laundering and numerous active/inactive court cases across the tri-cities, are alarming indicators of profound business instability and lack of professional ethics. Customers report attempts to regain unused escrow funds for repair of damages, signifying major financial disputes and failures to complete work properly.
LI>Non-Operational Status: The description of the business location as an abandoned building with no electricity further confirms the contractor's non-operational or illegitimate status. A lack of a stable, professional base suggests a high risk of poor communication, lack of accountability, and failure to honor warranties or complete contracted work.
LI>Documented Poor Quality: The specific details of the poor encapsulation job—improper insulation, mold not removed, high humidity, and failure to return—directly confirm a pattern of poor workmanship and abandonment of the customer. For essential home health services like crawlspace repair, this poor performance defeats the entire purpose of the costly repair and can lead to further damage.

Conclusion
For Virginia residents seeking reliable, professional, and legally compliant services for foundation, crawl space, and structural repair, the information available strongly advises to A-V-O-I-D Randall's Crawlspace, Foundation, and Structural Repair. The documented evidence of a REVOKED license, severe legal allegations, and confirmed reports of poor, incomplete workmanship, combined with a physically abandoned business address, presents a clear and undeniable case of high risk. Virginia homeowners are urged to choose contractors whose licenses are verified as active and in good standing with the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR) and who possess a strong, verifiable history of ethical business practices and quality service within the Commonwealth. Always remember the principle: Caveat Emptor (BUYER BEWARE).

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Randall Brush performed a poor encapsulation job. The foundation is not properly insulated, the mold was not removed, the insulated door was not cut correctly to properly enclose the encapsulation. The crawlspace currently has humidty at 63 in cold temperatures. Randall was suppose to return in October 2022 and has yet to hear from him. In summary, stay away form a poorly performed individual who has plenty of court cases throughout the tri-cities inactive/active. This speaker volumes of his lack or professionalism. Caveat Emptor (BUYER BEWARE)!

Apr 04, 2024 · Boyd FultonRandall’s Crawlspace is a great company! We had a nightmare purchasing a home with structural damage and got screwed over by a contractor and had several high crazy quotes from those chain foundation company’s that just were hard to swallow. Randall came from a pretty great distance to give us a quote and tell me that our problems were fixable without making us bankrupt. He is extremely knowledgeable about many things but especially construction, load bearing, and crawl space issues. We highly recommend giving him a call if you are dealing with foundation issues.
Nov 10, 2022 · Carl AdamsI am seriously so glad I came across this company. The owner has literally went above and beyond helping me with everything I needed done. I simply called and set up and appointment with the lovely lady in the office, she was very kind to me. Scheduled my appointment literally the next day. The owner showed up on time. He helped me see a couple of other important things that needed to be fixed with my house and really just was so amazing with all of his help. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who is in need of this line of work. Very impressed!Thank you so much Brush Family
Aug 05, 2021 · Hannah RobinsonAfter contacting some of the big name foundation companies, I got a quote from Randall's and was impressed by how straightforward, knowledgeable, and honest they are. They weren't out to band-aid the problem with my foundation or sell me services I didn't want or need. The work was completed promptly and with good communication, even though there were some difficulties with communicating prior to the job being accepted, but with everything out of whack because of COVID, some challenges were to be expected. Once the work was in progress, the communication was stellar. I am very satisfied with the results!
