Pinpoint Leak Detection Reviews

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I tried to refrain from writing this review because although the technician found the leak he also neglected to put back the water hose that comes out of the the back of our washer and goes into the drain. He did this prevent any unwanted water flow, but he didn’t put it back. So then I went and did a load of laundry and guess what. Water went all over my garage floor. The next time I went into the garage I walked right into that water and slipped busting the shit out of my ass and back. So maybe next time when I don’t respond to your first and second request for a Google review just let it be. Again, the technician was kind and did the job I paid you for, but this could have been a serious injury and a serious lawsuit.
Jun 07, 2025 · Michael TamezI strongly advise avoiding this company, as my experience matches many of the other negative reviews here. They are unprofessional and do not stand behind their work. Before contacting them, I read some concerning reviews but assumed those might have been isolated incidents or misunderstandings. Unfortunately, I experienced similar issues myself.I was advised by my pool technician that I might have a small leak and should hire a leak detection company. This company quoted me $425 just to send someone out, which seemed steep, but I went ahead. When the technician Mike arrived, he was here for about 30 minutes, & he provided a vague one line description to the company of where the leak was supposedly located, and took a single photo of some damp dirt above the pool area where they used pressurized nitrogen to detect a leak. That was it.Afterwards, I repeatedly followed up for more information but could not get any clear answers. I kept having to deal with their office manager Katrina who was consistently rude and dismissive. She constantly interrupted me, refused to listen to my concerns, and kept insisting their vague report was sufficient. To make matters worse, Katrina lied to one of their technicians and told him that I was disrespectful to her and used foul language when that never happened at all. I was simply trying to explain my frustration as a paying customer but she twisted my words instead of addressing the actual issue.I tried explaining that I had every right to express my frustration about the poor service I received but she had no interest in resolving the situation and repeatedly talked over me. When I told her that if the company continued to ignore my concerns I would be leaving honest feedback online, she did not care at all and just kept trying to end the call.In short, this company charged an excessive amount for minimal work, provided almost no usable information, and was disrespectful and dishonest when I asked for clarification. They were completely unprofessional throughout the entire process.I would never use this company again or recommend them to anyone else. Save yourself the stress.
Jul 03, 2025 · David BPinpoint was called to detect leakage in our garage. Their technician made the wrong diagnosis--on the points where there was NO leakage. They said it's a slab leakage when I kept telling the technician to check the hot water line going to the laundry. He said the obvious, without properly checking all the water lines.Their technician said to reroute the plumbing from point A to point B in his report to the plumbing company, where there was no leakage which the plumbing company found out when they came to reroute the waterline. The plumbers said it's the laundry line going to the washer that was leaking. The plumbing company called the Pinpoint again to come recheck the line, the second technician told the plumber to rejoin all the lines they has already cut, which they did by cutting old copper pipes and attaching new copper pipe pieces. The second technician walks in our house and says there is NO leakage in the Point A to Point B and walks out nicely saying "call us again if you have a leakage"...really, it is that simple for you. The wrong diagnosis made lot of damage to the ceiling and walls, and the cost associated with it. Pinpoint needs to be responsible to their customers when their improper job causes extensive damage. Please have your manager/CEO call me, so we can discuss this further.
Jul 09, 2025 · Sabina GhimireWe were referred to Anthony at Pinpoint Leak Detection. They were very professional in setting an appointment to come and camera the pipes in our home. He showed up on time and was very communicative. He was professional and very helpful in giving us the information that we needed to make an educated decision regarding our future plumbing work. We paid the extra for a video of the pipes and have used it several times in getting estimates for other work that needed to be done. It is a simple process to just send the video over to the plumber to get an estimate. With the video the plumber can give an accurate estimate without having to be present at the job site. It was very helpful. Thank you.
Mar 23, 2025 · Paul UsevitchI had a great experience with Pinpoint! The scheduling process was quick and easy and Anthony came out to our house as scheduled. He was kind and professional, and did a terrific job answering my questions. He was able to locate the leak and properly mark items for our plumber to fix the issue. Our hot slab leak was resolved and I'm very grateful for the experience we had with Pinpoint!
