What is Worth Choosing
Choosing an environmental consultant for a sensitive issue like mold or water damage in the New York area requires selecting a firm that offers both expertise and uncompromised objectivity. Indoor Mold Specialist is worth choosing precisely because of their critical, third-party position in the remediation process.
In the mold industry, it is widely considered best practice, and often mandated, that the firm performing the testing (the consultant/assessor) be separate from the firm performing the cleanup (the remediator). This separation eliminates the conflict of interest where a company might exaggerate the problem to increase their cleanup fee or provide a biased "all-clear" after their own work is done. Indoor Mold Specialist excels in this role as the independent assessor. They perform the thorough Mold Inspection Procedure, collect the necessary Mold sampling, and most importantly, execute the final Post Remediation Clearance Test—the "all-clear" certification. By holding this final verification power, they act as the customer's impartial advocate, ensuring any hired remediation contractor has met national standards, such as those often referenced by the ANSI-accredited IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification), before the client accepts the work.
The glowing customer reviews consistently reinforce this trust. Clients praise the thoroughness of the Initial Inspection, the clarity of the lab reports, and the dedicated availability of the owner, Owen/Oren, to walk them through complex issues. This commitment to customer support and education is a significant asset for New York clients, who are often managing the simultaneous pressures of health concerns, insurance claims, and demanding work schedules.
In short, for any New Yorker who needs an accurate, unassailable answer regarding the environmental health of their property, whether for immediate peace of mind or for a real estate transaction, Indoor Mold Specialist offers the necessary technical expertise, independence, and dedicated customer care to protect your interests and your health. They are the essential step one in addressing and resolving any indoor moisture or microbial issue.

Aug 28, 2020 · Elizabeth SleeperI've used Indoor Mold Specialist numerous times for clients looking to purchase. They were very responsive, efficient, and the lab reports were always quite thorough. Oren was always available to answer questions following receiving the report as well.
Mar 01, 2023 · Marc SolomonMy mom had moved to a new apartment in Far Rockaway near the beach. We expected moisture but after two months I was convinced her apartment had mold. I'm highly allergic and could never breathe well when visiting. One night after a huge storm we came back to her apartment to find white patches on damp areas of the carpet. My mom, who is not allergic, started gasping for air and we wore masks trying to clean it up as best we could. I felt it was too dangerous for her to stay there without having an evaluation. Owen replied quickly via text for all the information and was there the next day. He did a very thorough inspection, informing my mom of different parts of the apartment to keep an eye on, especially the door frame leading out to the patio and a ceiling crack. In under two days we had a full report and no surprise, mold was all under the rug and in the walls. Using this report we were able to break the lease and get her out of there ASAP. Thank you very much to Owen for coming by so quickly and taking time to really check all the areas. It was a huge health concern and now we have peace of mind.
Aug 05, 2022 · Vanessa MOwen took a call from me on Saturday morning for a second opinion on a potential mold issue I have, knowing that I had already ordered an inspection from another company. He was helpful and gave me his honest opinion without trying to upsell (which i really appreciate it).
Mar 18, 2023 · DianaI called this company today with an urgent need for a mold test and the manager was on top of it. He came by same day, and was right on time. He did the inspection thoroughly, was respectful and courteous, and I enjoyed talking to him. Good guy, great service. Job very well done. Their prices are also very reasonable for NYC.
