Emergency Response Team Corp Introduce
Florida residents are no strangers to property damage, whether it's from unexpected plumbing failures, the relentless humid climate that encourages mold growth, or the severe weather events common across the state. When disaster strikes, having a reliable and comprehensive general contractor who can manage both the immediate emergency cleanup and the full restoration and rebuilding process is essential. In Port St. Lucie and the surrounding communities, the Emergency Response Team Corp positions itself as a specialized general contractor focusing on these critical building and water damage restoration services.
This article serves as an overview for homeowners and property managers in the Florida region looking for a licensed contractor to handle complex restoration and repair projects. We explore the services offered by Emergency Response Team Corp, their location, and what you should consider when choosing a company for your emergency and general contracting needs.
Introduction / Overview
Emergency Response Team Corp is a firm operating out of Port St. Lucie, Florida, primarily known for its specialization in disaster and property restoration. As a general contractor, the company's dual focus is on emergency response—particularly for water and fire-related incidents—and full building restoration. This is a crucial combination, as disaster events often require immediate cleanup and mitigation to prevent further damage (like mold growth), followed by extensive general contracting work to return the structure to its pre-loss condition, which can include remodeling, roofing, and general repairs.
The company's name itself, "Emergency Response Team Corp," speaks to their commitment to urgent situations, offering services that are critical when time is of the essence, such as water extraction and quick roof leak repairs to minimize the extent of property destruction. For anyone in Florida facing a sudden leak, flood, or fire, this type of specialized and rapid-response contractor can be a vital first call.
It is important to note, however, that public business records in Florida indicate that the corporate status of "EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM CORP" was listed as "INACTIVE" as of an event date in early 2025 (Voluntary Dissolution event date filed 01/27/2025, effective date 11/26/2024). While the provided business address and contact information were previously associated with their operations, prospective clients are strongly advised to verify the current operating status and licensing of the company before engaging their services. Due diligence is always paramount when hiring a general contractor for significant property work, especially in the restoration industry.
Location and Accessibility
The physical base of operations for Emergency Response Team Corp is located in the vibrant area of Port St. Lucie, FL. What is Worth Choosing
Choosing a general contractor, especially for restoration work following a disaster, requires careful consideration of their capabilities and track record. Emergency Response Team Corp is structured to handle the full lifecycle of a disaster event—from the immediate water extraction and drying (Remove Water) to the final rebuilding and remodeling.
The main benefit of choosing a full-service contractor like this is the seamless transition between phases. You won't have to hire a separate water mitigation company, then a mold specialist, and finally a general contractor for the reconstruction. The scope is handled internally, which can potentially expedite the entire process and simplify insurance claims by working with Public Adjusters, if applicable. A past customer, who experienced a roof leak, praised the company's knowledge, responsiveness, and professional job, even noting that the owner came out to look at the project, suggesting a strong level of managerial oversight on some jobs.
However, potential clients must exercise caution and conduct thorough research. The general contracting and restoration industry can be complex, and experiences can vary significantly. An opposing customer review indicated severe dissatisfaction, citing poor work quality, significant new issues created during remediation, and a failure to properly return contents to their correct place post-cleanup. This review also mentioned difficulty in receiving updates and a disputed claim of payment and tips, which highlights the need for clear communication and documentation on all projects.
Before committing to any restoration contractor in Florida, particularly one that has shown mixed public feedback and an inactive corporate status (as mentioned previously), it is imperative to:
- Verify current licensing with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR).
- Request and check multiple, recent client references.
- Obtain a detailed, written scope of work and contract before any work begins.
- Confirm current active business status and any past or pending litigation or formal complaints.
For residents of Port St. Lucie and beyond, Emergency Response Team Corp offers a specialized suite of services designed for quick and comprehensive property recovery. When disaster strikes, their stated commitment to 24/7 emergency response and full restoration capabilities makes them a contact worth considering, but as with all major home services, informed decision-making remains the best way to secure a successful outcome.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I do not recommend this company. They claim they can handle all sorts of issues but their work quality and product are poor. Had to contact them repeatedly for updates on work status for a 2-week project and they created many more issues that had to be fixed while they were remediating the original issues. They had to work in multiple rooms in our house and had to move all kinds of furniture, contents, clothes, etc. When the work was done, they left the same day and never came back. Nearly everything except the furniture was put back in the wrong place. Imagine everything in your closet removed and then put back haphazardly in the wrong place - my husbands hanging items mixed in with my hanging items, entire medicine cabinet in disarray, boxes not unpacked that they packed with our contents. We had to spend weeks putting the house back together and trying to find our clothes and other contents around the house. Very disappointing. In another instance they were trying to fix one window and while working on it they broke the spring/balance mechanism in the window and banged up the surrounding walls and window trim. To fix all the issues they created we needed the window company to come out and replace the balance coil, the drywall guy to fix dings and dents in the walls, and then painter to repaint where they had banged up everything. When ERT was done with the window it wouldn't even go up and down anymore. I do not recommend this company.Edited later, after Response from the Owner... The Owner comments are completely false. First of all, we didn't pay for any of the work ERT did on our property as the builder covered everything since it was their responsibility as warranty on new construction. So we did not pay ERT anything, nor did we give anyone any tips at all, ever. So, we can add dishonesty to the list of complaints about this company. I have pictures and all issues fully documented. After ERT was done 'fixing' the one issue with the plumbing in June 2023, there were 52 new issues that they created that had to be fixed by all the other trades (drywall guy, caulk team, painters, window company, etc). I'd be happy to share any details with anyone interested. Beware of using this company - they do poor work and are dishonest.
Nov 15, 2023 · Holly SheaI was about to put my house on the market and discovered a roof leak. I was going to use a different roofer but they flaked out on me and I reconnected with the Emergency Response Team. I knew nothing about them but they were everything I had hoped for and more. They were very knowledgeable about my problem, they were able to schedule me right away and they did a very professional job in repairing my leak. I was more than impressed with Will Gonzalez and his team which even had the owner of the business come out and look at the project when it was being done. I highly recommend the Emergency Response Team for any issues you might have around your home.
May 18, 2022 · Daniel KoestersI had a horrible roof leak in my dining room due to the bad rains. Emergency Response Team was at my home in hours to work on the problem. They were extremely professional, polite and knew how to take such a tough job. I would recommend them to anyone who is in need of their service,,, This is the second time I have used them an I have also recommended them to my son and daughter-in-law who are in need of their service. They are definately 5-Star Quality minded company.
Jun 27, 2018 · Christine ZepatosOur tile floors were flooded with water and even though we thought we had dried everything, the water managed to seep under the tile. The water made it’s way into places you don’t think to look. Fortunately we were helped by an ERT technician who was able to detect all areas of damage that would have gone unnoticed by us. Good to have everything fixed. Thanks so much!
Aug 13, 2018 · Roxanne WeissWe called to check out a possible leak. They arrived ontime and utilizing a moisture detector determined there was no moisture present and thus no leak.If I did have a roofing problem in the future I would certainly consider them for the repair.Jim05/10/2022
