★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1*Original review summaryTwo of the three workers that showed up spent about half their time sitting outside while one person actually did work. They spent so much time sitting there that I decided to take a picture of them to show the company and talk to their manager. During the process, I noticed that they had chiseled a 2" x 2" hole into the middle of my floor. Apparently, they did this to check for moisture, but this spot was nowhere near where the water had been. I talked to the production manager, and he agreed to get it fixed. Then, they set up a dehumidifier in the garage and left. Three days later, they came back and set up another dehumidifier in the bedroom above the garage. They also placed some fans around the area and left them in place around the area and left. Three days later (seemed like overkill to me, due to the nature of the problem being a slow leak from my water heater which had already been fixed by the plumber), they came back to pick up the equipment. Then they started trying to force me into a contract without me even knowing what the cost for the clean up was, or having an estimate for the work to come. I told both the dispatcher and the "reconstruction PM" that I was not going to sign anything until I had an estimate of costs (my insurance denied my claim). Then they emailed me a contract to sign for a second time, and still had not gotten me an estimate. Meanwhile, a week had gone by since they came and collected their equipment. Finally, I'd had it. I emailed the mitigation PM. Here is a copy of my email:Dear Tim,I will not be signing a contract with Dryworx. I want to start off by thanking you for your communication and professionalism. I would also like to thank Johnny for his work.Other than the two of you, I have been put off by the service of Dryworx. I have already communicated my concern to you about Logan and the kid spending their time sitting in the truck outside instead of working. Since then, it seems Dryworx wants to do little more than waste my time and try to get me to sign a contract. I have been told twice over the phone and been sent two emails about contracts to sign, but I still don't have an estimate. I have already told your dispatcher and the reconstruction PM that I'm not going to sign anything until I get an estimate. Meanwhile, a week has gone by without any progress on getting work done. This is where we're at now in my estimation. Dryworx needs to come put the insulation back in my crawl space, and fix my bathroom floor because of the approximate 2" x 2" hole that was chiseled out of it by your technician. Then, we need to settle up for services rendered and conclude our business. After that email, I noticed that they raised the cost of putting insulation back in my crawl space from $500 to $700. The bill came to $7930, I told the PM that seemed like a lot for the work that had been done, and that I noticed they were up charging me.I am attaching some pictures showing the work I did before I even called them. There will also be some pictures showing (with a red line) where they expanded on the work that was already done. Also, attaching my invoice. I paid a plumber with a different company to do the plumbing work.*Update to my earlier review. After leaving a horrible review, the owner of the company contacted me to try to set things right. He decided not to rip me off and gave me half my money back. I do appreciate it, but would have appreciated not being ripped off in the first place more. It has now been a month since the initial call, and my house is still a disaster. I've only been able to start using my bedroom again in the past couple of days. I was willing to change my review, but even since trying to "make things right", it has been a exhausting and aggravating experience. This is the worst company I have ever done business with. I definitely would not recommend them to my friends, family, co-workers or union brothers!
Jul 03, 2025 · Chris VanceMy toilet started leaking from the base and as I tried to replace the toilet found that it had been leaking under the house causing extensive dry rot to the foundation. I did as much work as I could by myself and friends and then called Dryworx to help me finish it and put it all back together. I was completely frazzled and been dealing with this for 5 months and needed an end to this nightmare. Harold showed up and was so awesome I hired them then and there. Dryworx was absolutely AMAZING! Every person they sent was knowledgeable, cleaned up after themselves and did exceptional work. Harold worked some miracles not only in our bathroom, but became our friend at a time I was really struggling after a rough couple of years. I wholeheartedly recommend Dryworx. Thank you Harold for being a caring and thoughtful person during a stressful time. I would hire Dryworx again in a heartbeat.
