Cardinal Catastrophe Services Inc. Introduce
When severe weather strikes in Illinois, the damage to your home can be overwhelming. From hail storms to high winds, finding a reliable and knowledgeable contractor who can handle both the repair work and the complex insurance claim process is essential. For many homeowners in the St. Louis Metro-East region and beyond, Cardinal Catastrophe Services Inc. has established itself as a dedicated specialist in storm damage restoration and insurance claims.
Operating out of Edwardsville, Illinois, Cardinal Catastrophe Services Inc. is a local, family-owned business that has chosen to focus exclusively on storm damage restoration insurance projects, setting them apart from general contractors. This specialization is a key component of their service, as it allows their team to possess an in-depth understanding of the insurance industry's intricate procedures, including working with claim adjusters and ensuring homeowners receive appropriate compensation for a covered claim.
The company’s mission is centered on providing peace of mind to homeowners dealing with storm-related damage. They aim to be the advocate for the homeowner, simplifying the process of getting the property fully restored to its pre-loss condition. Instead of juggling multiple contractors and a confusing insurance claim, Cardinal Catastrophe Services Inc. offers a comprehensive service designed to manage the entire restoration project from the initial free inspection through to the final restoration work, whether that involves a full roof replacement, siding repair, or other exterior work.
While they are a roofing contractor, their expertise extends to nearly all aspects of exterior restoration that can be impacted by severe weather, making them a one-stop-shop for complex storm damage repairs. Their commitment is highlighted by their focus on professional standards, including adhering to guidelines set by organizations like the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) and utilizing project managers who are often HAAG Certified Roof Inspectors, a high level of training in damage assessment.
Cardinal Catastrophe Services Inc. understands that residential roof inspections for hail and wind damage require a specialist’s eye, as serious damage is often virtually impossible to see from the ground. Their complimentary inspection service is the first step in determining the next best course of action for a homeowner, even advising against filing a claim if they feel the damage is not significant enough to justify it.
For Illinois residents, especially those in the frequently storm-affected Metro East area, this local expertise and specialized focus on homeowner insurance claims provides a valuable alternative to out-of-town "storm chasers" who may leave town before the project is truly complete. They pride themselves on being a consistent, trustworthy, and active member of the local community.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Used this company for an insurance claim. Was for roof and siding. Has been over a year and we are still waiting for them to do siding. They have alrady been paid too. Most of the time when we reach out they ignore us. When they did the roof they left loose nails in my yard and driveway that I had to clean up.Update for response,Call that number multiple times a day with no answer. Leave voicemails as well and never get a call back. Got in the contract found the owners number and that went straight to voicemail. Send emails with no response as well.We were told recently that siding would be done this past Friday by a different company (L & L construction I believe). They never showed and now we are being ignored by Cardinal Catastrophe once again. As it has been over a year and you have already been paid, we are considering taking legal action.
Oct 01, 2025 · Joseph GCardinal Catastrophe is an A++ company all around. We are thankful that our insurance company required two bids. Being new to the roof replacement process, we called the first (big name) company we could think of, well that company came out and didn't give us the time of day and expected their name alone to win our business. Then we were referred by a friend to CARDINAL and they blew the competition away. Their professionalism and thoroughness when quoting our home was A+. They walked us through each step of they way so there wouldn't be any surprises. They explained the advantages to their products and installation process versus the competition. They worked directly with our insurance company and fought to get us more reimbursement money as Cardinal picked up on areas of hail damage that the insurance company did/chose not to detect.Ask to work with Pete F! He was an extreme professional who was very knowledgeable, always readily available and made the entire process go smoothly.Roof installation done same day, crew did a great job of cleanup as well! This company is top notch and is a MUST CALL - will be referring them any time I can.
Dec 17, 2017 · Elliot Frey________________________________________The Project Manager with Cardinal Catastrophe Services returned my initial phone call promptly and scheduled a convenient time to come to my home to inspect the roof and give me an estimate. He arrived at the scheduled time and began with a thorough inspection of the roof. He took the time to explain the condition of the roof and suggested replacing the entire roof with architectural shingles. He provided me with a detailed estimate of all the work to be provided. He also took the time to answer all our additional questions and told me to call him if I had any other questions. The Project Manager and his team were prompt, professional and extremely courteous throughout the entire job. They worked diligently and quickly. They took extra precautions to ensure all the debris was disposed of properly and the job site was meticulously maintained. The entire experience was positive and hassle free. If you are looking for a professional and experienced roofing contractor, Cardinal Catastrophe Services is without doubt the best choice for the job.
Aug 23, 2018 · Arthurene ClemonWe bought a home and the seller's insurance company paid for the roof through this Cardinal Catastrophe. The roofers showed up to do the job and were unable to finish because this company did not order enough shingles. So we have had an unfinished roof for weeks until the shingles got delivered. They have been delivered for 2 weeks now and this company still has not shown up to finish the job. We have contacted the project manager and company daily and we are told "tomorrow" or we get no response at all and no one shows up. We were also told if there is rain in the forecast the crew will not show up to do the job at all. This is the worse experience I have ever had with a roof project. Very poor communication and service. Our unfinished roof has been exposed and rained on. We plan on contacting the insurance company who wrote the check.UPDATE: After I wrote this review, someone from the main office called me. The roof did get completed after 4 weeks being exposed. The crew left debris and job materials in my driveway when they finished. I mentioned this to the person who called me from the office. He did show up promptly to clean the job up. Once I examined the roof upon completion, I noticed they did not replace the metal valleys that were rusted in some areas. I mentioned this to the person from the office and he said definitely those should have been replaced. Cole, our project manager called a day or two later. He said that he would send someone out to get it painted and look real nice. We decided we were finished with dealing with this company on our roofing project. I doubt that they would have showed up anyway to paint the metal valleys (which should have been replaced anyway). Cole is dishonest and does not respond when you attempt contact. I think our specialty shingles had a lot to do with the issues. Hopefully, if you decide to go with this company they can handle the traditional shingles without issue. We did NOT receive a $300 gift card. Buyer beware.
Sep 05, 2024 · NathanCardinal catastrophic Services roofers removed and replaced my roof very rapidly. It was very organized and they cleaned up most of the area immediately before leaving. Gabe came the next day with a magnet to run through my property looking for nails. Very organized and fast. Thank you
