If it were possible to give zero stars to this company I would. Where to even begin because the list is nearly endless. The lack of professionalism I have experienced from this company is unbelievable. There was no communication during the mitigation process which lead to their team of people trashing a number of time in my kitchen that were in perfect working condition rather than taking 5 minutes to place a phone call to me letting me know they would be over so I could remove anything. Instead they trashed everything which resulted in extra money out of my pocket to replace it all. The re-build experience was even worse. The PM on the team treated me as if I knew nothing and he could just walk all over me bc I am a single woman and there was not a man involved for him to speak with. That alone se the project back weeks. In total my three very young children and I were displaced from our home from Dec 26, 2022 - July 2023 only to come back to find the quality of work piss poor and numerous issues. One would think with 8 months and one room that it would be stellar craftsmanship but the opposite is true and I believe it was done so poorly because I am a woman and single on top of that so they felt they could cut corners everywhere without me noticing. To this day I am still going back and forth with the company to come correct the mistakes caused by their poor installation and horrendous work quality. One example of many would be the 3 inch gashes that are now present in the BRAND NEW cabinets due to their team not installing screws properly in cabinet doors. Another would be the refrigerator door that flings open and smacks against the wall every time it's used. They were asked back in December to come correct their issues. They sent someone out and that person addressed half of what he was supposed to and they have yet to come address the remaining issues. Why should I be responsible for more out of pocket expenses when the issues were created by their team in the first place? I have paid the company $16K of the $17K bill and all I've asked is that they come correct the matter. But they don't even have their billing information correct because for 8 months they continue to send me a statement that is incorrect asking for more money than is actually due. Just another example of their extreme lack of professionalism. Their solution to all of this was to call a friend of mine and disclose my personal and financial information then send the remaining balance to collections who is now threatening me with a law suit. I can't wait to see what an attorney will say when I get women's rights involved along with the violation of personal data. So sad too because I never said I wouldn't pay. I just asked that the issues be corrected. I run a local business and would be beyond embarrassed if anyone of my team treated a costumer like I was treated and then did nothing to right the problems. Needless to say I WOULD NEVER recommend this company to anyone in need of home restoration. They may be good with commercial and international work but for us "little guy" they can care less. The pictures I posted are just a fraction of the issues throughout my kitchen.

Do not hire Belfor Akron for any thing. The came to work on my house during a flood disaster. They quoted me a rate for six workers and five hours and stated anything extra will be charged ratably. After the project completed they sent me an invoice for significantly more hours than were actually worked for each of the workers. They even sent a ten year old kids to a hazardous site (OSHA??) and tried to charge me for his "work". They charged me 1.5 hours for two guys to stop by for five minutes and pick up two small items. A small crew stopped by for ten minutes to grab some dehumidifies and they tried to charge me 4 hours for this. This group is pure fraud and dishonest. Avoid at all costs.

TL;DRThis company had terrible customer service and you should work with ANYONE else. Full details below.This company has terrible customer service. I had a problem with a leak in my roof on July 4th. They sent someone out in July 5th. When I called they said they would let me know when someone was on their way, which they did not do. This affected my toddlers nap… which is why I requested a heads up call.Someone came to tarp my roof— I did not ask for a tarp nor need a tarp. He went on my roof using my own personal ladder, walked around saying he had no idea what was wrong for a whole hour.Finally he said “oh it must be due to the flashing at the lower right side of my roof” … my leak was in the middle of the roof at a much higher location than what he described. It doesn’t make logical sense how the flashing being uneven on the lower right side of my roof would cause a leak toward the top of my roof in the middle. He wasted an hour of my time saying absolutely nothing useful. He could have left after five minutes (especially since he didn’t have any of his own equipment to load back onto his truck..). Instead he walked back and forth saying he had no idea why our ceiling was leaking.Fast forward a few weeks and we get a bill for $220! The bill lists that they tarpped the roof which, they did not do.I called their office once a month for 6 months. The secretary assured me that I do in fact owe them this money and that the manager would call me first thing the next morning. I have never gotten a call from the manager. The very first time the man who walked around on my roof did call me two weeks later after I requested a manager to call. He also said he would have the manager call me… again. No one has called. It is now mid January and I’m on hold with the Akron office, still unable to speak with a manager.I was told at one point that the $220 was to pay the guy for his hour of time. But like I said over and over he literally paced back and forth saying he had no idea what was wrong, he’s “just the tarp guy” then finally left after wasting an hour of his time. I do not feel I own them money for doing nothing and I would simply like to discuss this with a manager.As I type this and have been on hold for twenty minutes I finally spoke with someone who said “well I did have to pay this guy for his time. So I’ll just eat the cost and send you a new zeroed out bill”. Her reasoning was that I had another company come and fix it. So since another company fixed it she’d “eat the cost”. Making it seem like I’m doing them harm…This company has terrible customer service and you should work with ANYONE else.

I am giving three stars only because the water clean up guys were great but the restoration guys were not. The lead guy gave us nothing but attitude and when questioned about the cheap material samples he brought made a comment that he had to make something on the deal too. Mind you there was money allocated for installation of the floor as well as the flooring materials in their quote.We had to have them reinstall a section and then found another place that was not done correctly. The job took over two months to complete the project.

Belfor Restoration was exceptional in every aspect of customer service, quality, and responsiveness. We had bedroom ceiling water damage from a faulty condensate pump in the 4 year old AC unit in the attic. Dirk's initial phone call made everything easy to understand with the entire process. Charlie was our project manager who was professional and knowledgeable. Tony was our outstanding on site person who knew everything about the project. His repair work was seamless. His finishing work with the drywall, mud work, and painting was flawless! Just like an artist that is so talented and makes everything look so easy. We highly recommend this company!
