★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1AVR was amazing! We had Hurricane Idalia come through our area and ended up with a huge tree through our roof. Needless to say - water mitigation had to happen and AVR saved the day! They were absolutely professional, patient (with me, because I ask a lot of questions), on-time, prepared, organized, and walked us through every step of what was going to happen, and kept us in the loop the whole way. Personally, as someone with a very curious mind - I really appreciated Matt's patience with me; as a first-time homeowner, having never experienced something like this, Matt took the time to explain what the water damage did to the house, walls, hardwood floors, etc. He showed me where it was, how to identify water damage visually, explained what issues it would it cause short and long term, as well as what equipment they were using and how it worked. Basically, he helped me understand the WHY behind what was going on which really eased my nerves and anxiousness during the process. I cannot thank the Matt's from AVR enough for keeping me sane, rational, and able to make educated, logical decisions during this trying time for our family. Folks joke about "well, you'll be tired of us being in your house soon enough" when they know they're coming in to do a job that will impose on your living space and your daily life - but honestly, when the Matts finished their work with our house, I was truly sad to see them go. While we don't live close by - they will definitely always be a part of our lives and our life's story. They have been the easiest part of recovering from this hurricane by far.
Nov 08, 2023 · Catherine F StoreyThanks to Hurricane Idalia we had a tree fall on our home. Two bedrooms and parts of the bathroom and kitchen had damage. Both my kids’ bedrooms were essentially ruined. The volume of vultures that transcend upon hurricane victims should be criminal. It becomes very overwhelming. You really don’t know who you can trust to help with the process. Thankfully AVR is not one of those kinds of people/companies!! They showed up and quickly calmed all of the uncertainty for me.We were blessed to have AVR show up early on. They quickly started the mitigation process to get everything cleaned out and dried up. They were very knowledgeable and explained the entire process as it moved along. They showed great compassion in sorting through our belongings with me. Losing so many sentimental items is excruciatingly painful. Trying to save what I could salvage was helpful to me. There was no judgment on their part and no rush to get the job done.Thankfully they were quick to get in and get everything that was wet out so that mold and mildew never had a chance to take over my house. From Jonathan (the franchisor - yes, he sifted through “stuff” with me) to both Matts and Carlos (and his team), you couldn’t ask for more caring, compassionate and knowledgeable people to help you navigate one of the most stressful times of your life. If you find yourself in need, don’t hesitate to let them help you. I know if I ever need them again, they’d all be right here helping.
Nov 14, 2023 · Emily Broome-GarrisonI had an unfortunate water disposal blow out, the water leak soaked through from under the kitchen sink to my second floor (computer room). I called American Veteran Restoration on a whim after searching through other services and spoke with Mr.Matthew who immediately scheduled an appointment the next morning to inspect. He was highly educational also comforting about the water damage due to me being distraught. He walked me through the process of identifying the damages, the ease of repairs if needed and preventive measures. Because of this companies pure honesty, I've added them as my only contact for future water restorations when/if needed! I highly recommend them and cant stress it enough. Thank you so much Mr. Matthew for your compassion and quick response towards customers and also providing services for veterans! Again, Thank you!
Jan 27, 2025 · AnsWhen water came in our bedroom from outside, Matthew Carter came quickly and was very personable and professional as he set up the equipment in the room. We now have a dry room again and are very thankful for his knowledgeable service.
Mar 11, 2024 · Will CrewsTo say they were professional is an understatement. They were educational, professional, personable, and dependable. I hope I never go through another hurricane again, but if I do these guys will be my first call!
