We initially had a positive experience with 911 Restoration, as they responded promptly to our call when our basement flooded in August. Their early communication was clear and timely, and they began the remediation work quickly. However, the quality of their service declined significantly as the project progressed.After the initial cleanup phase—during which we provided our own industrial-grade dehumidifier—they placed several fans in the basement and informed us the area needed to dry. On two occasions, a representative from the company visited our home to take moisture readings but openly acknowledged that the technician who typically performed this task had recently left the company. As a result, he was unfamiliar with the process and was attempting to manage our case without proper training or support.From that point forward, communication from their team virtually ceased. Despite multiple follow-ups on our part, we were only told that they were still working on finalizing the bill and preparing a repair estimate. We were also rudely told to be patient due to the high volume of other clients affected by the same flooding event. Nonetheless, it took several weeks before we received the necessary documentation.When the documentation finally arrived, we were shocked by the excessive charges for “water remediation” services. We had already removed the standing water and carpeting ourselves, yet the bill reflected “industry-standard” pricing as if the company had performed these tasks. While we understand there were additional costs—such as the use of specialized equipment to address a mold issue in one wall—the total charges appeared disproportionately high compared to the actual work completed.We requested an itemized invoice to better understand the charges and initially encountered resistance. When we eventually received the breakdown, we noted several questionable line items, most notably a significant “content manipulation” fee. According to the company, this fee was meant to cover the labor associated with moving, protecting, and resetting personal belongings. However, we had already moved all items ourselves prior to their arrival, no protective coverings were used, and no items have been returned to their original place as the project remains unfinished.Although we filed a claim with our insurance provider, the reimbursement fell short of covering the inflated invoice. We could not proceed with filing the claim until we received both the bill and the estimate, and even then, the process was delayed by several rounds of clarification due to inconsistencies and vague charges.During this waiting period, we received several unprofessional and inappropriate emails and voicemails from the company, implying that we had received our insurance payout and were intentionally withholding payment. Once the funds were finally disbursed, we made the difficult decision to pay the invoice in full to avoid further stress and communication with the company.In the end, while 911 Restoration began with efficiency and responsiveness, our overall experience was ultimately disappointing due to poor communication, lack of professionalism, and questionable billing practices. I would not recommend this company unless you are ready to pay more money and extend your project time.

We called 911 restoration services and they act as though they were eager to get the work done, but when it came to time to do the work it took them 4 weeks to respond back on when the work could be done. I understand there was other flood victims, But it came down to me assisting my son and his wife to get the water with the wet carpet and linning out of the basement before mold set in. When they finally came back out, they charged them for water removal and carpet removal. In which they didn't do, they only set up fans and cut the drywall 2 feet up. They didn't even clean up and and do the removal of the discarded material. My son had to take the material to the junk yard himself. And they want to charge them $10,000 for work they did not do. I am so disappointed in they're follow up, the service over charge, professionalism....I will not recommend them to anyone because they are over charging people because they can. I can't believe they are taking advantage of the people that was flooded out this summer. 2025

This company has very shady practices. We had water damage in the OshKosh, WI area at a rental property. Our insurance said to tell the company that we had a very high deductible with minimal water coverage (older house bought 3 days prior to the incident). We explained this to the company when engaging them. They charged more than industry standards, completed items not covered by insurance as additional unnecessary items, never consulted with us, did not return calls to our insurance company about their excessive charges, and told us we were obligated to complete the remodel after the mitigation because our insurance company "approved" them to until we consulted our insurance who explained we do not need to use them. HORRIBLE communication and customer service!!

Avoid them at all cost!Good luck getting them to actually communicate with you and then be prepared to be price gouged. A third party assessor looked into our issues because the price seemed too high. We were overcharged by $11,000 according to them.They make sure to send you an invoice but they won’t respond when you ask questions.Poor business practice and definitely know I was taken advantage of. There are much more reputable businesses in Oshkosh that will see the job through and won’t leave you hanging.

We were lucky to find 911 Restoration to take care of a major basement clean-out following flooding and sewage back-up. We called the company on a Saturday morning and, within a couple of hours, they came out to check out the damage and provide an estimate. All throughout the clean-up process, Jeremy patiently and professionally handled interactions with the homeowner and even took the time to find a few specific sentimental items within the thousands of things he carried up. He also answered any and all questions she had along the way. I was impressed that, for items that needed removal but weren’t damaged by the flood water, such as clothing, he and his wife washed them and brought them to a donation center. It was about 7-day project in total and we are so thankful to Jeremy and 911 Restoration for making the basement a clean and safe place to be again.
